CD goes against the whole hold right to win meme and forces you to explore. It's a different kind of game from other Sonics
Marble Zone is fucking awful but it's also proof that the original design philosophy for Sonic wasn't just "gotta go fast"

If not its just your regular hold right to win sonic but with much slower levels and more mazes
Sure but at that point you're effectively playing the game wrong. Finding the robot generators is one of the main objectives. Yes you can avoid the objectives and just go through the level and get the bad ending but then you haven't completed it.
Not that guy but like you can find shit in the 2nd zone with these fucking springs and bumpers everywhere.
