I really dig it myself. I'm repainting the valve cover today because I'm doing the gasket. It's either going to be in Sonic blue again, or a flat red to match the SVT.

As for cooling, I had an issues, my thermostat housing cracked. I ended up going through part numbers to find the Contour one that fit and picked it up instead of going through CFM.

Was the tstat housing the only issue?

Was the replacement made from the same material? Did you notice any difference in the design between the OEM and the replacement?

The material was fine, It was really the design. The SVT has its sensor on top, but uses the same design as the Contour/base Focus. But on the base model Focus the sensor goes on the bottom where that plug is. The seem right there has a very bad tendency to crack open a bit and leak. Mine though had that and then the o-ring wall fail.

Also no real difference in design outside of the spot that usually leaks is just slightly better designed.

Did you swap in A80 17"s?

Yeah the ones I had before were some aftermarket wheels and I wanted to give a more genuine look. Thinking between the SC stock or Supra stock, went with the A80 instead.

Fly somewhere else and buy one. You can get ones in stupid good shape in other parts of the country with less miles.

Here's my IS. Just put on new suspension and tires. Loving it right now.

I drive past an SC300 on the way to work that has IS300 wheels on it. Looks fantastic.

Yeah the problem is my dad is helping me purchase it (I don't have quite enough to buy it on my own) so we will probably end up going to a used car dealer; is300s go for $6k-$9k the 6k being the 160mile ones, while the more expensive ones have closer to 120k

I suppose I wouldn't mind getting one of these higher mileage ones if I know it's a good car that will be reliable and not give me any huge mechanical failiures.

My IS has been very reliable. Sitting at 165k now and I expect it to easily surpass 200k with no major issues. It's a Toyota from the 90s, it doesn't get any better than that.

My only regret is buying an automatic and not buying a sportcross.

Is the car easy to work on? I have a friend who said the engine is a good engine and his cousin has an is300 and said they're good.

I wanted RWD but I live in Canada where 99% of IS350s are AWD. In July 2015, I put in a factory order but they declined it saying they aren't making more 2015s. And then they discontinued RWD for Canada in 2016+ :(

Even though it's not RWD, it's still a really great car. Steering feel, suspension, and comfort are still better than the German rivals. Only thing I wish it had was a more powerful engine.

Bit of custom work done to the interior of my Z. This was when I bought it. Modern Z's usually have a small storage unit in the center console for a custom radio install or personal storage, this guy opted to remove it to install a custom speaker. Had a retractable Kenwood radio too before I replaced it with an appradio 4. Will bump with more photos

Here are more. Also getting custom seat work done, should be done at some point today. I tried to avoid aftermarket seats because I didn't want to be too Ricey. Like I said I'm going for show. Seats will be one of a kind stock with center seat panels re-fabricated in corvette red to match the center console. Was a hefty fee, but I get to keep the heated/electric seats and It will look pretty awesome. My buddy does great work.

This was before when it had the kenwood. Looked retarded IMO and it was pretty outdated, no bluetooth or NAV.

Love the CTS, my first car was a VW GTi and it did me well.

I got my 370z for 15 with 22k miles and 85k warranty.

I love to Z community in my city, They tend to have much better people behind the wheel then VW fans.

I have Touring tech package with NAV and love the interior, they tend to be outdated in style but I prefer it to modern cars, its solid and outside the road noise from the hatch its well put together.
