I honestly can't remember the last car to beat me because i generally only race a car if i know i can win.
Although my friend just finished his 300zx tt project and im guessing he wants to remove me from being the fastest in the squad now.

Had no idea he was turbod- looked totally stock outside. It was back when I only had exhaust. We did a 70 roll and he pulled a bus length before shutting down. Saw the car the next weekend at a car show, and had a chance to talk to the owner.

I have a blower on the vette now, so even though I don't make quite as much power, I still think it would be a better race.

Also, Cobalt SS is always faster than the Civic Si, unless it's the N/A 06-07 Cobalt SS N/A with the 175 HP 2.4L
The supercharged or turbocharged 2.0L's rape the Si though.

get outta here, really? ive spent many a street night up at the strip and hear claims like this every single time from the civic crews. someones always got a buddy with a 10 second NA vtec. one time i was talking to a bunch of em lined up right next to me during a track shutdown, and they were talking about their all motor civic and how its going to run 11s. all night i saw the guy running 14s, barely even trapping 3 digits on 110 race fuel. i always just thought they were a myth.

i mean, a 10 second car is a 10 second car. children or not, civic or not, thats fucking awesome, and actually pretty damn impressive without FI on such a tiny little motor. its not like most 10 second cars have smooth 700 rpm idles anyway. actually it just sounds to me like youre completely butt blasted from getting your balls pushed in by NA hondas in your area.

No it is not, because

Making 150hp/L ceases to be impressive when you are running race gas in a built engine, and 10s cease to be impressive when you're running a completely stripped out, caged drag car with slicks.

I can go to any test and tune night and find a stripped out drag car on slicks running 10s or faster. 10s are impressive for STREET cars, I would be impressed to see a 10 second civic that is remotely streetable, and no I don't mean some technically "street legal" stripped out civic that would fail any inspection in any state where there is one. Hell, even 12s are damn impressive for a fully equipped street car that isn't some sort of exotic. I'll be taking pictures and asking questions when I see a civic pull up to the strip with a full interior and the AC blowing cold before running 12s with no more prep than a drop in tire pressure.

Maybe I'm just jaded because I've spent lots of time at drag strips, but I don't care what kind of car it is, the 10s completely fail to impress me when it's a shell with an engine, racing seats and a cage running race gas and on full slicks.

I have some audi motorsport decals and thought about getting the audi quattro windshield banner, but wanted something a lot more subtle. should hold me over until i get around to getting an actual old ur quattro to build up on the side.
