There's absolutely nothing stopping you from creating your own copy of the mosaic if you wish to do so. It's not difficult to make a meaningful contribution to the mosaic, even if one has no drawing skills. A1 was the addition of two images to that tile, and it was accepted.

In practice, rejection is used very rarely, only for tiles which are the result of the application of random filters/blurs/etc.

Futa Morgana is unironically the best officially translated plotge. Same EGS as Baldr, too. Himawari will be coming out soon and that's a fantastic and very highly rated title as well. Honestly both of those titles are better than anything that Sekai has touched. And it seems that MG is interested into doing more high-production moege.

Fata Morgana seems to be doing really poorly for MG, probably due to the art style. You can compare it to a hyped kamige all you want, but most people aren't interested in it.

I dunno other than Baldr, Sekai kind of has jack shit. Mostly just stuff that we've had for years. Root Double was the only thing I was looking forward to from them and it ended up being shit.

Like says MG does have some pretty good titles underway, but I've enjoyed other parts of their library as well.

I think it'll age well. Its reputation is only improving as people talk more and more about it. Plus, it's not like it could've been a huge loss for MG in the first place even if it did sell poorly. Novectacle is a very small studio.

The real flop that probably hurt MG financially was probably Tokyo Babel. And unlike FM I've heard mostly luke-warm reception regarding that title.

I've said this before, but they have a good reputation in Japan because none of these complaints about SP filter over to the eroge devs in Japan. Other companies will see all the big licenses that SP licensed and sign on too.

I'm sure someone will tell me that SP is taking bad deals on the licenses, and that they'll lose a lot of money and it's not sustainable, etc etc. Firstly, that's speculation, and secondly, that's actually a good business model. Burn through some cash, acquire a portfolio that is impressive to the companies you're wooing (eroge devs) and use that to keep building up the portfolio.

Most devs drop them and go solo after 1 or 2 games though. Sekai's recent sales on Steam haven't been exactly stellar either. G-Senjou flopped.

Not exactly true. There was an article posted in /jp/ awhile ago and it went over what the reputations of MG and Sekai are in Japan, and from what I gather most of the Japanese audience thinks that Sekai is feeding lies to studios like Lose, promising Nekopara-tier sales for everything.

I think that while their license acquisition may seem impressive right now (not like they're doing anything with most of those licenses in the first place) their reputation will plummet and plummet as they continue to do bad business and over-promise on their deals. Frontwing dropped them. Akabei dropped them. Lose will drop them once Maitetsu flops. Ditto for their other acquisitions.

This kind of aggressive license-acquisition is only a good thing for Sekai if it pays off in the sales, which, other than Nekopara and their other cheap meme titles, they haven't. This is why Dovac is so noticeably frustrated on Twitter constantly over his companies reputation. Unless he can deplicate Nekopara success on other titles, it just isn't happening on their other license acquisitions.
