My mistake. Lightning Spear, not Sunlight Spear. I was expecting them to be pretty good on a Faith build, then actually tried hitting things with it and did crap for damage.

I try to tell myself that the hyper armor, range, and poise break of larger weapons are supposed to be the factors that even out the balance, but I dunno. I haven't played enough PvP to really say.

Anyone else just really bad at playing this game twice?

Just finished a faith playthrough on Scholar, lightning spear does decent damage even midgame, it's the amount of casts that's absolute shit.

Hits just slightly below soul spear against bosses.

Playing DaS2, I really miss tail cuts. The only cut enemy in DaS2 is The Rotten, but it's a supreme pain in the ass to get that cut. And the reward isn't worth it.
