What does Veeky Forums think of teens who drive luxury cars?

>driving barefoot
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Don't really care.

Teens don't drive anymore they just send eachother nudes all day from their bedrooms.

My girlfriend does this it's kinda cute

She's wearing sandals.

If I have big shoes on or ones with really thick soles or large heels, such as my leather dress shoes then I take my shoes off because I don't like the way they take so much sensation away from the pedals.

I've never given it a thought

If their parents have the money to buy them cool cars, then more power too them... I hope when (if) I have kids I'll be able to buy them cool cars that they can crash and die in.

It really depends on your definition of luxury. If a 17 year old spends his savings buying a used town car, more power to him. If another 17 year old gets a CTS-V for his birthday, I'm fucking jelly, and I think most cars with more than 400hp are too much for teens to drive. Give them something shitty as a first car, let them learn to actually drive before they end up like one of the poor soles that crashed their parent's porsche/tesla because they don't have experience yet.

pointless envy is a sign of autism

someone getting a nice car from their parents is not something anyone else should care about

What if they avoid taxes and partake in shady shit to get that money for their kids?

It affects you too, negatively.

this

not exactly a luxury car but, regarding the power / age thing

>guy i know
>gets a nissan 300zx for his first car
>manual
>right hand drive from japan
>manual, doesnt know how to drive manual
>bald fucking tires "drift car" apparently
>throws money into a sound system
>has it on the road for 1 week
>crashes the car and writes it off

gg fagget

These and Aristos are babbies first RHD import here.

That's fine. I usually do that when I wear sandals so I don't get them stuck on the pedal. I would imagine girls do the same thing in heels.

Age 16 - Eclipse GS-T
Age 20 - 04 Fairlady Z
Age 24 - SRT-10

I've always liked sporty cars rather than luxury. Maybe I'm contemplating for my tiny penis.

>That phone case

Fucking ghetto as shit, there's no way Chanel sells such an ugly case with a big logo on it.

I prefer driving barefoot. What's the issue?

Its just something they have
I don't think they could ever appreciate it

As long as you're having fun in them.

the fact that this was posted right on the dot of 20:00:00 satisfies me more than it should

ive literally never thought about it
is this what flyover people think about?
this is just common every day shit where im from.

>only owning 3 cars

I've had 24 in 13 years of driving. For the cost of your SRT-10 you could probably buy at least 12 of them. Still, though, how can a person be content with so few cars?

The prevailing belief here is that you'll fuck your first car up, or crash it, or the boyracing bogeyman will rape you in an empty parking lot.

Salty poorfags add to this, claiming anyone young with anything other than a shitheap is compensating, spoiled, daddy's money, etc.

These same people go on to lease an automatic 318i one day, so the neighbors know all about how he drives a "Beemer".

Seems nice. It often goes hand-in-hand with a shitty attitude, but sometimes it doesn't. I personally think my life would be better if I'd driven a 911 in high school, but that's just me.

There was a girl at my school who got a brand new C-class when she turned 16 and fucked up the interior by leaving the sunroof open during an overnight rainstorm like two days later.

it was posted exactly at 19:00:00 you moran

I never said I got rid of any of them. I still have my Z. I'm a single guy, i live alone, I don't need anything big or fancier than i can stand.

Her loss.

I reckon you'd have been surrounded by hungry gold diggers, and possibly a little more confident. But behind your back they would still point and mutter about how you're compensating for something.

It's the man that makes the difference in the long run, the car is at most a lure.

>just be yourself bro, chicks dig confidence

Protip: all people care about money and status. It can't overcome Elliot Rogers-tier autism, but if you don't have that kind of problem then drawing attention to yourself is the way to go as far as getting dates.

I've had 3 cars at one time as a single guy, so I can understand keeping the Z.

Maybe I just get bored of shit easily. I've bought and sold 6 cars in a year before.

>what about the minuscule percentage?

Certainly, and you don't go fishing without a lure. A nice car is a good one, but not the only one.

With that said, girls can't tell the difference between models. An immaculate E36 325i would pass because all she would see is the badge on the front. Perhaps not so with an E30 though, as it looks far more dated.

If you aren't a trust fund kid you got scammed and should kill yourself.

Anything else is cope.

>chanel
>not brand whores
since coco died they became about as tasteless as versace

If you aren't born a 6.5+ WASP with a trust fund kill your fucking self.

Depends on the person I find
I guy I know got a RC-F as a birthday gift, but he's super chill.

I never got the whole buying a supercar for a teenager thing. Even if I was a super fucking rich chinese scam artis....businessman I would just get a rolls or a bentley and a chauffer for my kid. They don't look like some plebe bastard, but they're not driving, and probably crashing, my investment.

I'm 18, and I hop between driving my mom's G-Wagon and driving my personal E350 4matic.

I don't flaunt it, I don't act like a pompous asshole, I take care of my car, and I treat it like I would any other car. I drive like an old person anyways... my parents ended up buying my sister a shitbox because she constantly wrecks cars. I drive extremely cautiously and defensively, so after proving that I could handle taking care of a nice car they bought me it. I've been driving for 3 years and never got a ticket or even a minor accident. In the same timespan my dumbass sister went through 4 cars for her carelessness. Thankfully she carpools now that she's in college off in Commiefornia.

don't care about them, but considering I could've gotten just about any sports car thrown at me for under 20k, I chose one of the cheapest.
Don't like the thought of mommy and daddy buying me a new corvette when I easily make enough money to afford one.

Would you have taken it if you didn't make enough money to afford one?

I never understood the point of buying your teenager anything more than a car that's good enough to get them started in life. We all know kids are entitled shits and don't appreciate anything anyway. You buy them an expensive car they won't love you anymore than they already don't. and if your kids get mad at you for buying them a base 2006 Corolla than they are spoiled little fucks and you can't buy their love.

when i was a teenager I wanted a cosworth swapped mk2 escort above all else.
times do change

This

>women drivers

I like shady shit

Young lexus owner here. Already feel like my is350 isn't enough and want a 2012-2014 ISF

he doesn't even own any of the cars in the videos he knows a guy who owns a car rental business.

Looks generic as fuck.

Get yourself an IS 300 and 2JZ-GTE swap it. It'll be like a 4-door Supra in a timeless luxury wrapper.

Bullshit. I'm a college freshman and drive a new 3-series, and I'm still forever alone.

If you care, you're jelly of them. If my dad offered me a lamborghini for my birthday, I would deny it because I'm a prideful cunt, but I'm sure everyone else would accept it.

>18 years old
>get a job where I drive
>smallest vehicle we have is the van
>gmc savanna with the 6.0
>mfw first time putting the pedal to the floor

I've tasted power and I need more

The expenses would kill me.

>insurance
>fuel
>maintenance

Not to mention the fear of poorfags ruining it because they're envious shits who hate other people with nice things.

I'm not gonna lie, I feel comtempy, maybe jealousy. but then I remember: they got given that car. they never earned it. the title isn't in their name. and I remember: I own 2 motorcycles, an SUV, and a turbo truck...and they are all bought and paid for 100% mine. they may not be nice...but, fuck you little 16 year old shit in a Mercedes, who's name is on the title?

>it can't overcome Elliot Rogers tier autism
If you refer to yourself as "forever alone" you might be one of those who can't be saved.

I'd accept a Lamborghini as a gift if I could afford to keep it. The only reason I don't drive a much nicer car than the one I do now is that I'm cheap, but I still know how to have fun.

YOLO to be honest.

>they never earned it
>who's name is on the title
I hope you realize that judging things this way isn't a rejection of consumerism, but rather a wholehearted embracing of it. You're tying peoples' worth to what kind of car they can afford, while they're out having fun in nice cars and just feeling fortunate to be doing so.

I'm not autistic, I have plenty of friends. I just can't get a GF for some reason.

Just be yourself bro, chicks dig confidence.

>be 18
>have had 2 cars, 2 trucks, one van, one SUV.

They're robbing themselves off fun, it's actually pretty fun to get dirty and mess with shit and not be scared of breaking things often. I would love a luxury car, and I can likely afford a lower class Mercedes or a 335i- but I shouldn't yet. Maybe when I'm 45-50 sure. Or when I start my job where status symbols are everything. Simply put, a luxury car is something I would have, but shouldn't for my age.

Some people can afford to not stress about breaking a 335i.

Cheap E30. Plenty of shit to break and fix.

It's not about affording it, it's about being young and having fun with it. I guess theres some teens out there who truly don't care about it, but for me at least toying around in engine bays and suspension parts is extremely fun!

Teens who are going anywhere in life are too busy doing homework, internships and networking to spend a lot of time working on cars T B H

i never said consumerism is bad, just pointing out that I actually legally own a vehicle and they don't. and if I want to judge them on fun I just had a blast on a nighthawk 650 I picked up for $100 and got running with a battery and seafoam. I guess im more like this:

>if you feel bad remember at least you actually own whatever you drive so be thankful

>ownership of things makes you superior
kys

>not owning your own car

Tip toppity cuck.

>ownership of things makes you superior
How sad. You know, some people actually live enjoyable lives and share their ample means with their children without such angst. Just believe what makes you feel better about not being one of them I guess.

I'd suck on those toes

Mechanical Engineering student minoring in Automotive here. Most of my buddies are car guys who are spinning their hobbies into serious engineering and management jobs. This is what I'm doing as well.

When an employer asks about my prototyping skills, I can tell them about all the skills I've picked up from tinkering (electrical, 3D printing, welding, etc) And, making connections is a lot easier when you know everyone on campus who likes cars.

>amerilards mad they lease all their possessions

People live in different time zones moron.

Why are you so salty?

>TFW parents offered to buy me a car
>TFW no car because I refused but dignity still intact

>tfw got talked into taking his previous car for free by grandpa as my first car
>tfw regained dignity by giving it to my sister for free later

>dignity intact

You sound like an ungrafetful cunt 2bh. Also I'm pretty sure you have more dignity driving regardless who paid for the car rather than riding your bike/bus

It was either a shitty car or my uni fees and I chose the uni fees. I've got a motorbike so no busriding or bicycling :^)

Why is that guy bragging about owning a car like it's a big deal so salty that some people got to drive nicer cars?

>men wearing sandals or flip flops

Nice taste man. Here's mine.
Age 17 - 01 golf gti
Age 18 - '93 turbo miata
Age 20 - '97 180sx
Next car is going to be a v8 240z resto-mod, but that's 2 years of grinding and welding away.

>Le satisfying meme
Fuck off

A luxury car is just dumb for a teen, it doesn't make them feel special about what they are driving besides the fact it's a (insert luxury car maker name here) and.. I mean most people don't really give a fuck about luxury so do you think a kid would? And even if they do care about luxury it's probably for the wrong reasons.

Now if it was like a sports car, or just a fun car in general, something that makes then happy to drive and own because it actually is something special, and not just some car with special "luxury" features that don't really do anything and that won't be worth shit in a few years, then that would be a better idea.

I'm just saying boring cars are generally luxury cars, and boring cars inspire careless driving, I know it works the other way around too, but if your kid has a car that they actually enjoy and love for more than some frankly superficial reasons then they will probably do more to be safer in it and to keep the car. (aka not crash it)

Niggers spotted

>tfw 27 and just bought a new lexus is, muh first upmarket car
>tfw have more fun in my moms swift sport shitbox
The quite and plushy softy bits are nice though.

>not owning your nice car

Top cuck lad.

I own my nice car that my parents gave me, but I bet that doesn't make you happy because "you didn't earn it."

many kids here in germany get cars from their parents now, no matter how bad they do in school. the ones with the most expensive are 90% of the time the ones who care the least about cars in general.
i'd rather drive cars that are known for reliability or especially performance (thats why i only owned japanese cars) instead of any expensive "luxury" car, most kids here only care about benz-audi-bmw, newer=better.

It makes me realize that they already have a step up in life, and likely every day they spend on earth will be easier for them than for me.
They obviously come from a family with money, so they will
>Afford to go to a better university
>Meet more influential people who become strategic business contacts
>Graduate debt free
>Attain a higher paying job out of college, thanks to their more well off upbringing and business contacts, but due very little to their own skill.
>Ultimately live in a nicer neighborhood with nicer things because of this

And don't give me any of that "pull yourself up by your bootstraps and you can be even more successful" BS. Money makes everything easier in life.

>mfw I have the money to buy several ferraris
>mfw I bought the AE86 for meme reasons

Haven't bought any other car since.

The freshman who drove an Aventador at university struck me as a little too much, but hey, he also wore a $200,000 watch. The Aventador probably cost a day's worth of his father's annual income. The very rich exist in a different world.

Those aren't men, they're less than men.

Jesus. I know a guy whose dad was a partner at a major NY investment bank, but that whole family's garage isn't worth as much as an Aventador.

That's even worse. Sandals are called flip flops because they move under your heel. They aren't held up to the heel like shoes that wrap around your foot, so that gets annoying as you switch pedals.

i worry about the size and quality of the silver spoon in their mouth because, as with all teen drivers, they fucking suck on the road. Rich fucks are as bad as little FnF over there with his scion all riced up.

That's like $1200 in registration fees in a year dude

You must make a decent amount of cash, good for you

bread on hood

then the problem is with the parents, not the teenagers

there are a shit ton of rich chinese expats that drive that shit around the west coast and vancouver

they wreck an exotic and daddy ships them a new one within a week

Holy shit I could taste the salt reading this.

Tfw you know enough about body language to know she fully wants to bang him

she should post her feet here

>my dumbass sister went through 4 cars for her carelessness.

What were they?

Also rich parents much?
