Unreliable piece of shit? Ford's semen quench for turbo cars is just a bad idea

>They spat on the RS heritage and made it a family-oriented 4 door

Oh look its a clueless bus riding retard

50k for a fucking focus here.

fucking hell it's ugly from the side

Second coming of God. It looks Ford really tried to make this something special and I want all of it inside me.

Looks like a poor man's A45 AMG.

The turbo Falcon worked out pretty well.

As of now. I don't really see it as anything special. The focus RS of past wasn't a car that looked just like it's base model. If your not a car guy or really paying close attention. This car is just a regular focus with different wheels and paint. For the price they are asking and now with the added mark up. It's a really sketchy car to buy. Nothing says this car will keep its value, if it loses its value like an ST this would literally be the worst thing u could buy. With dealers trying to sell them at 45k. You have to realize how many other proven cars used or new that are in that price range. If this thing can't make well over 400+ to the wheels. It's just a novelty

Overpriced in Canada compared to the competition.

I don't feel like googling. What's the differences between ST and RS?

A Volvo with a Mazda engine?
If it didn't have a blue oval and was built by competant workers i'd buy one for $25k
No fucking $50k

this thing wants to be a WRX so badly

spoiler

chin spoiler

big wheels

side skirts

awd

more like it wants to be every rally iteration so badly

Wait about two or three years for ford to get all the bugs out. this a brand new model that ford has not attempted for 10 years in the US.
Definitely don't buy it right away user.
I plan to buy a ford focus RS in 4 years; that should give it enough time for aftermarket parts to drop in price/have the car get minor improvements.

I was so stoked until I saw the damn price.

WHY FORD?

This is what Ford does.
Almost every "performance" car they have has a retardedly high markup by the asshole dealers.

because ford cars are usually pretty good/noteworthy. they're one of the few companies that always has good performance vehicles

except for the 5.4l raptor, that one was a bit asthmatic, but once they put a bigger motor in it then things really got good

>How do exchange rates work?

>because ford cars are usually pretty good/noteworthy.
>they're one of the few companies that always has good performance vehicles
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAGAGAHAHAHAHAHAHA

03 cobra

ford gt

gt500 2007/2012

focus st

thats just in this century

even top gear likes their cars

>he thinks initial drive with a brand new car means anything.
You're not too bright are you?

it means something if you've tested literally every other noteworthy car that month/year/decade

honestly there are few people i give more credence to than Clarkson/May just from their sheer experience

they've driven EVERYTHING

you forgot rs cosworth m8

>he thinks the opinions of 3 homos means anything
Nigga they get paid to say good things.
Ford is a terrible company.
Pull your head outta your ass

>sneeze
Castor changes.

>thats the exact same price in america with adjusted inflation

I mean exchange rates

>3

you can't even read

bbc was a publicly funded company

both of them ragged on some of the most notorious brands in the business

remember the zenvo review, when that shit caught fire and they showed it burning? you think they'd get paid for that?

user, you're a nearsighted moron

and ford is possibly one of the most well rounded companies out right now

If you could talk one down for under $35k it would be worth it. Since I haven't heard of a dealer selling one yet without a $5k+ markup it's not worth it.
I think it will have problems for the first couple of years, best not to be an early adopter. And I can't see how tuners are going to squeeze much more power out of it.

>ford is possibly one of the most well rounded companies out right now
Delusional

ur all gay

...

well they have the pick-up truck and suv market pretty much sorted

then they have the hatchback market figured out

sedans? check

sports cars? double check

supercar? yep got one of those two

they even have the transit, one of the best-selling and most versatile contractor vehicles ever built

so please, show me a company (single company, not a parent company) that has successfully fulfilled more niches

wait, you can't, because you know nothing about automobiles

to be able to reasonably afford this car, you're probably going to want to be making north of $80k a year. what kind of job would you have where you make that kind of money and want to bring a ford focus to work?

i want to like the car, but $40k for a ford focus doesn't rub me the right way.

>build all sorts of stuff
>quality is far below sub-par
B-but we covered the market.... Right???
They build shit. Doesn't matter what it is. It's shit.

You sound like you would be very cringe irl

If you pay 47k like the dealer are goin to be asking you are a fucking idiot.

Meanwhile the Golf R starts at $35,650 USD (=$46,187 CDN) in the US, but is actually only sold for $39,990 CDN in Canada.

Ford decided to basically not do any regional pricing even though Subaru and VW do it. Which is weird considering Ford is basically a "domestic" car company in Canada.

wtf man?

>inb4 some retard mentions "fake awd"

I can get a new XR6 turbo for that fucking price.

>This car is just a regular focus with different wheels and paint.
yeah lets just ignore the 350hp engine, awd, better suspension, brakes etc

>What are your thoughts on the new Ford Focus RS
shit like all fords

>ford
>fwd
>performance

mercedes-benz

Not for long

100hp, AWD, can be changed to RWD

the focus generation was out before the a45 design. nice try tho

>the subaru is trying to look like a rally car
>so is the ford
>that moment when you realise ford won more wrc than Subaru

lol, people who actually think Subaru is the blue oval of Word Rally.

The RS is AWD tho??

> What are your thoughts on the new Ford Focus RS?
I want one. Not sure about the durability of all those clutches.

> How do you fell about it coming to the states?
They don't deserve it. They just want MUH VEEATE and MUH MUSSLE CAR.

wet clutches can last an awfully long time slipping constantly

I would buy it if it was $3k-$5k cheaper. For the price (in Canada at least) I can buy a decently optioned out 2015 Mustang GT.

Hope it translates into improvements on the STI.
With the evo being a fetid corpse Subaru just didn't have much of a reason to compete with anyone.

Fuck man, don't remind me.

...

ey man, I'm a honda person myself but you're totally right. Ignore the fag naysayers that don't know how to have a conversation. Ford certainly has one of the most versatile lines currently, but definitely not in history.

Side note, I loved the focus st, it was really fun to toss around a track.

>Ford Focus RS
>1.23.96

>Mercedes-AMG A45 4Matic
>1.23.86

Poor man's A45 confirmed.

>not getting a fraction of a second more out of your bone stock shitbox

It's the current year and people are still cucked this hard.

>A45 AMG
>$74,500

all that for a hot hatch. So much more ones money could properly be invested in besides that shit of an AMG....

Y'know the RS500 sold out at 55k and thats FWD. You mad the focus is worth more than you can afford?

Anybody found one for MSRP yet?

Dealers around here are still jewing the price up stupid high, just like the GT350s. Fuck Ford. I'm not going to spend $50K for a hot rodded Focus.

>I found these times on this retarded ass time comparison site
When does this meme finally die out?

>tripfag
>doesn't even got da facts

baka 2 be quite honest my famila

MSRP of $35. But stealerships are adding 15 on it because its "GONNA BE HUGE"

I am just going to wait.

Employees only.

I've been shopping around one for. Lowest i've found is a dealer willing to do $45k before taxes.

Literally laughed my ass off.

>awd
>fwd + rwd
>still fwd
>""""""performance""""""

It's just the tested times they got on that specific track with those cars on a wet day.
