Because there's no story at all, and 80% of the focus is nostalgia for older towns and characters.
Meowstress and Bherna gal are the only interesting new characters, everyone else is boring as fuck.

Because it looks so generic. It's just a grassy plain. 4U had a sandy island, desert caravan, mountain peaks gusting wind, and a cave full of magma. The only place as boring as Bherna in Gen is Kokoto, and even then it has the novelty of looking like it was ripped from a PS2 game.

How do I do the rank 3 "deliver 2 wyvern eggs" quest? The one with the Astalos in the way.

This is also my own opinion, but I fucking hate the Astalos- this edgy, mountain dew coloured, pro-mlg, competitive gaming, twitch streaming fucking mega-evolved Seregios.

Try delivering a wyvern egg twice.

I 200% agree with the preys vs the ggis'.

FUCK Genpreys, Iopreys, Velocipreys & Gianpreys- fuck um' all. They're awful, terrible, boring, uninspired and I hate having to deal with them. They just fucking suck and I would LOVE to see them "discontinued".

Jaggi's, Wroggies & Baggies are the same thing only done about 60-80% better. They even gave them that good "realistic dinosaur meat" so they don't look like shrink-wrapped anorexic low-poly horrors.

Khezu and Gigginox are in the exact same boat as well, but if anything it's even more frustrating because capcom REFUSES to use the BETTER monster and Khezu just keeps coming back again and AGAIN and AGAIN.

I'd also love to see Barioth and Barroth get more love again- it's fucking criminal that they're kept out of these new games.
I'm genuinely sick of Capcom having preference for "monster seniority" over "actually good and interesting monsters".

So CB red shield gives you guard +1 right? Does that mean I can get guard +1 on my armor and wind up with guard +2, or does that not work?

I ran Guard+2 in MH4U but in Gen, I run purely offensive skills while using adept style. Just block or evade and stick to monsters

I'm seriously believing that 4 stuffed in some much shit from Gen 1 and 2 that Capcom's plan was to show how awful Freedom Unite is in comparison to 3 Ultimate and except for the super popular and flagship monsters, everything before Tri will hopefully be dumped or reworked in 5. And Swimming will be back along with maps that take advantage of the various underwater environments of the world.

Wrong. There are more guard levels than simply guard+1 and guard+2.
Or at least that's how it was in 4U. Red shield with Guard+2 wasn't enough to block a Tigrex roar without knockback/chip damage. You had to have the red shield, guard+2 AND do a guard point. But GPs got dumbed down in Gen.

Adept guard doesn't need guard skills. If timed right, it can stop anything (except beams), even without the red shield or any guard skills.

somewhat easier to go from nada to red charge since you can aim the spirit attack 360

Thats it. Just make sure to turn them in one at a time or else the max reward is lower. Done in a group it should only take about 60-90 seconds. Longer with shit coal rng. Selling excess ores/spheres/weapons should net you 25k zeny, possibly alot more.

A rank with 1 weapon, its all pretty easy to solo except for the last cat arena

Forgot to mention, the hub has to be online or local. Offline hub gives fewer rewards. So even if you're soloing it, at least make a local hub.

All arenas at A rank gives you barrage earring (load up).

All arenas at S rank gives you solider earring (mind's eye).

It's time for a thought provoking question:

-If no: Why? And what would they have to change or alter for you to accept it back?

When swimming, it will eventually stop by the water's edge and attack you with tentacles. Attack it enough while it's doing this, and it'll fall over into the stage helplessly. Attack the tips of its tentacles for massive damage. This is especially important if you don't want the first phase to drag on.

When it's all red and stuff, you can go ham on its face without having to break a tentacle(because it's not emitting the blue cloud). If the fight lasts long enough that it uses the death beam, you can tranq bomb it out of the attack.
