I'm 87/87/87 on my main right now. If I wanna stake eventually, should I just do whip controlled to 99/99/99 and hope for 50/50 duels, or just level my strength to mid-90s duel only those I've got a slight advantage on?

Leaning toward the latter since it'll be quicker and seems like more fun, but I'm concerned training attack and defence will be a pain in the ass if I'm not doing it straight controlled.
