Yeah, I found that odd. The model expects to load a "face_c.dds" file, but there is no "face_c.dds" file. Maybe the game engine uses "parts_00.dds" to generate a face file temporarily? That or it must be stored somewhere else. Cropping parts_00.dds and building the face manually seems to work.

They're stored in .ism files. There's scripts available to extract them from .pak files, but so far no Maya compatible scripts have been made.

Okay, spoilers for VII incoming.

I reached the Heartdimension and totally ravaged Arfoire's face with my level 40 team. To get the bad end, I'm supposed to go directly to the red exclamation mark, right?
Will I still see and fight the corrupted neps if I do all the green exclamation marks first? I kinda want to see the candidates freaking out.

The white texture thing is not a bug, full white color is meant to be transparency. Of course if you don't enable transparency(alpha layer) for that model part, it's just going to show up black.

This, as well as the other special textures...normal maps, reflection maps, etc... is handled by naming the model parts differently. Usually the name is:
arthurface_006_1.00
or something like that. The first number indicates the render group, pic related. The second number is specular reflection intensity. At 1.00 it makes everything look like rubber so I use around 0.15.

If you visit all the green marks you don't get the bad ending, but you do fight the CPU's, the bad ending skips the fight altogether and just throws you the credits after the scene.

That's why I said it's common to all models. Maybe calling it a bug was a bad idea, I should've called it a feature.

That's really sad, because, in a way, it means Noire really hates being the CPU.

Why not simply design the existing accessories and costumes with this shit in mind? Or make sure the existing animations don't pull this off on what's already slated to be in the game? It's not like the 4GO cosplay is somehow new in VII.

I wouldn't say it's so sad if you consider how much of a selfish cunt Nowa has become in her dream (a rather grand achievement, considering her usual personality), deciding that it's enough to send Uni a text about abdicating as a CPU. The situation is a lot like with Blanc's.

It's a bit sad that interesting characters like that have such shallow dreams.
Compared to that, Vert wants a family, and Nep wants everyone to be happy.

Meanwhile, Noire wants to be famous for her work and not by her function as a CPU but ends up being egotistical and wants to abandon Lastation, and Blanc has the worst dream where she just has boobs, literally nothing less.

I think the writers coulda made much better stuff for Noire and Blanc but decided "lol VA joke" and "lol boobs joke".

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Noire's dream was shallow. Both her and Blanc have serious complexes about their lives, and just because they haven't gone mad yet does not mean it doesn't get to them in one way or another. Just like Vert, all three of them have some deep-running needs they would never want to admit to out loud as they grin and bear it, just in two of these cases they can be reduced to a joke. Just like my life.

I finally got the Platinum for MegaTagmension. I had to kill Doomkale over 50 times before it finally dropped the last processor fragment I needed. But then it went and dropped it back to back after getting the processor parts from Deadring and the bird three in a row.

Really not a very good game. They need to stop going to the Senran Kagura well and actually make some changes if they want to make another game like this again.

Ahhh I suppose I better get around to finishing Rebirth 2. I'm on Chapter 7 so it isn't like it'll take me long. I just find it hard to have the motivation after the goddamn Conquest Ending. Then I'll move onto Rebirth 3.

My general impression was that her temper is not that bad until a) she goes HDD or b) you push her rage-buttons, like boobs or twins. She also doesn't seem to get physically violent with others unless they really wronged her.

See that's another problem. The multiplayer bosses basically require you to be in the high 50s-80s to even be able to survive them because so much damage is unavoidable unless you're holding down the block button for 50% of the time. I leveled Neptune and by the time I wanted to switch to someone else, she was level 90 and everyone else was barely in the teens. So outside of using the bonus stat points you got for doing the Thursday quest, even getting your characters' defense stats high enough so they could just SURVIVE was difficult.

You people mock me for believing spanking will fix the neps, but I still believe that if the neps had a real education, they wouldn't be that fucked up.
At least I have hopes that the candidates will turn out better because they had both their sisters and the oracle to help, but the Hyper neps really have complexes that they never really learned to deal with. Vert's loneliness being one, Noire being unsatisfied with her condition as a CPU being another.

And despite being originally humans, the Ultra neps aren't really better. In fact, they're probably even worse as far as raising go. You have that that don't really want to do anything but still works hard out of obligation, you have the one who became CPU by accident and acts like a spoiled kid throwing tantrum and torturing people when she feels like, and you have the hardworking Noire who looks down on everyone else because she thinks she's the only one who know what she's doing.

She barks a lot in the games but doesn't really seem to bite. See in VII when she finds the twins, she chews them out a bit at first, but refrains from hitting them. Even C-Sha goes out unmolested despite lockpicking Blanc's closet.
