I never forgot about them. They are rediculously pricey to get a GXP manual though.
Yap.
Not underrated tbqh. It's just a jacked up Scenic.
>as nice as an Audi A8
>looked like a Passat from afar
>immediately disregarded among luxury sedan buyers
>immediately......
>implying the vw badge didn't do that
lmao, fuck off.
That's what I said. It looked like a Passat.
I forgot about him, why so salty ;^)
>phaeton as underrated
why in the name of jesus would anyone buy an "upmarket" passat for the price of lexus/merc/bmw?! it was rightfully disregarded.
No ones forgotten about the holden commodore mate.
I see 100 of them everyday
VE commos are like 10-20k kangaroodollars
You can get VZ and VYs for like 3-5k
Seriously though.
v8 exploder.
I put a limited slip diff and GT40 heads innit.
I can kill ricers with it then hop a curb and do victory trenches.

>dat caliper as big as his torso
hnnnnngggg
Because some people want luxury without being a rubbing it in people's faces.
>>as nice as an Audi A8
A8 is overrated piece of shit. Phaeton was proper comfy.
...
...
Even with 400hp your pigfat slushbox mom wagon isn't doing any damage at the lights.
these are cool. But a guy a few streets from me has one riced to fuck. huge anime pictures on it and stanced to hell
Confirmed for never been in a Phaeton. It deserved the price tag because holy shit it was luxury for the time.
Mercedes et al couldn't hold a candle to this shit. The problem was that the sort of people who buy such cars want to make a statement of wealth and a VW doesn't really do that. If you have to take time to explain to your boardroom associates at the black-tie that the VW is just as good as the S class/7 Series/LS/A8 then it's already failed as a statement of wealth.
Could've been good with a manual gearbox...
Nah m8, the pic posted is a VR-4 2.5V6TT AWD, the States never got these
>commodore
>underrated
Do you remember this Schumacher edition?
Cool ad:
youtube.com
>Friend in high school's brother had one of these
>Got to ride in it
>Was cool and fast as fuck
>One day friend's brother isn't driving it anymore
>Ask friend what happened
>Friend's brother drained tranny fluid with intent to change it
>Never filled it back up
>Drove that way for over a month
...
Is it maroon?
>tfw I knew a kid who had one of these in high school
Everyone else in my class was jizzing over the lime green V6 camaro some faggot had, but this thing was the shit.
Those were cool but there's nothing really special about them besides the funky windows
US market, the SS is invisible
These
Also, why do I see a bunch in my area with Holden badges?
>doing heads in a pos explorer
>doing heads on stock engine
Chebby will put holden markings on from the factory, also a dealership option
My first car was a 405 Mi16. I miss it sometimes.
This pains me
Good offroad and good in the snow. Highly underrated and forgotten.
Opel Speedster. Still one of my favorite cars.
God fucking damn it.
This thing.
I want one of these so bad.
Shame about the interior.
Last i heard was that there were budget issues and that they were having a new factory built as to why it hasn't been release yet.
looks like buffed integra
Well the SS and Holden version are essentially the same exact car. Though the holden version still seems better.
>FWD, with a 5.2s 0-60 and 13.7s quarter mile time
H O W
>Mazdaspeed 6
>Ultimate stock sleeper
>Onpar with the legacy GT, even better interior
>Only comes in stick
THIS! I know what ya mean I have always wanted one too. Now if ya find them they are all nigged out. Sucks
Lincoln MKS/MKZ. They are good for the price, but because they are "luxury" and not best in class, they're assumed to be cheap Cadillacs.
Altima SER?
Flat 6, four wheel drive.
The windows were a minor design afterthought as the styling is too awesome to allow for normal ones
Here in aus halfe the cunts at school have v6 commodore mate because your not allowed to drive V8s until your 20
Dont worrt mate here in australia we see alot of them with chevy badges
Also thats a VF commodore and pontiac G8 is VE commodore
Slow piece of shit
...
Fuckin wicked cars. Admittedly I'm biased because I owned one, and it was my first car. Guaranteed anyone that talks shit hasn't driven one.
will mazda ever release car like this again?
here people ask 5k CAD for a 2006 with ~100k miles
>>dat caliper as big as his torso

it's a big car

Nobody remembers TVR, it seems.
Compared to the overrated Falcons, absolutely.
4 u
Isn't it just a less flashy elise?
but powered by superior GM engines.
Wasn't it also heavier?
oh fuck, the retard GMfags are here
>it's better because it's powered by GM
The Speedster was so good that it was virtually forgotten while the Elise took all the glory. Somehow the Speedster weighed more.
>Rated TVR
...
not by much, if at all.
>GM ecotec 4 cylinders that Veeky Forums has repeatedly said are god-tier not being being better than a toyota ZZ engine or a Rover K-series
Leave Veeky Forums and never return.
>average GMfag intelligence
MY NIGGA
I see I4s everywhere but holy fuck the V6s are fucking rocketships and I know they're quite a bit faster than
Give them the right tires and the governor will let it do 152mph.
I question why these things are FWD but then I remember the SS exists.
>Fuck Canada
Just checked, the us series two was about 30 lbs lighter than speedster. The euro elise was lighter than that.
and that's a very negligible difference. You'll never notice it.
stealth wealth
I loved them then and I love them now.
>13 feet long
>weighed over 1.5 tons
>heavy steering
forgotten for good reason
may saturn rot
>>weighed over 1.5 tons
no.
>Daimler-Chrysler.
>unreliable as fuck just like anything from VW
cherry pick all you want, gm fanboy, these things had NO reason to weigh that much
Agreed the SHO is a underated car.
>these things had NO reason to weigh that much
The transmissions were literally from a truck (Chevy Colorado/Hummer H3) and the rear suspension was literally from a luxury landbarge sedan (first gen Cadillac CTS).
Went to a junkyard in southern Ontario the other day and there were two of these in there. Both were completely stripped out. I've been told they've been there for years and one used to be complete.
All of which makes for a heavy-ass turd that no one wanted.
