Scrub here, how do I do a proper two handed build?

Path into Butchery, into Barbarism into Resolute Technique into the appropriate 2h cluster of your choice weapon type (maces are the easiest and have an implicit higher stun duration on enemies which makes them the strongest/safest early on), from there on you can head to the Templar area for more life and AoE

Juggernaut/Berserker with Atziri's Acuity and Hegemony's Era.

>default attack as LMB
I want summer to leave.

Been like that ever since Diablo 2, until you get something that replaces default attack.

he's trying to blend in..

I want summer to leave

>wanting summer to leave a dying general
Enjoy your no threads I guess?

...

Path of VexOhmIstDol is not D2, and due to poor design that is inexplicably still in game, having default attack bound to LMB is detrimental as it will lead you to move your character to locations you do not want to go to when you click on a monster/receptacle because default attack is not move-attack like in D2

I worked around that by using shift(?), when I just wanted to stay in place and hit stuff.
Anyway, what would you suggest?

Click on LMB skill, swap it to move-only, this is a habit you have to take on every single character/build

Also upgrade your flasks to medium ones, you can vendor 3 small ones for a medium

>Click on LMB skill, swap it to move-only, this is a habit you have to take on every single character/build
And what about default attack?
Or is it
>using default attack

>Also upgrade your flasks to medium ones, you can vendor 3 small ones for a medium
I plan to, I'm gathering spare flasks in my chest.

default attack is never used after you kill hillcock

you mean the first zombie on the beach

Literally everbody has been telling me to focus on life.

They've been lying to you, trust me

>shitcrows giving advice

you get damage from gear, not passives.

the life / armor path is the correct choice

fact: if your mind cannot comprehend 2^100, you cannot comprehend how unimaginably big the universe is

gotem

that's not even a difficult number to calculate you fucking retard, just do 1024^10 in your mind

why did she retire?

you can't even comprehend 1024^5

to pursue a career in acting

Just multiply it with itself for a few times nigger, it's not that hard, takes some time. Or if you want to """"comprehend""""" it, take 1000 and add 30 zeroes to it. Whoa big fucking numbars. You fucking imbecile.

>Or if you want to """"comprehend""""" it, take 1000 and add 30 zeroes to it.
That's just seeing the number in a written form, not comprehending it

Well what do you need to """""""""""""comprehend"""""""""""""" it? Take it in and meditate upon it? You're really fucking retarded. Stop posting in this thread.

Try picturing it
It's easy to picture 1000 apples, but it's literally impossible to picture 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 apples

why did you post that abomination

>ywn rape lia in a dark alleyway

Why the fuck would you try to picture 1000^1000 apples? Are you autistic or something? You're not supposed to paint a fucking picture of it, you're supposed to calculate 2 fucking numbers. THERE IS NOTHING TO COMPREHEND, MATH IS MAN MADE, IT'S A TOOL, NUMBERS DON'T EXIST YOU FUCKING IDIOT.

GET THE FUCK OUT OF THIS GENERAL RIGHT NOW.

So you ARE unable to comprehend how big the universe is if you cannot picture ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 apples, let alone ,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets, each sometimes dozens of light years apart from each other

LIGHTNING STRIKE BUFF!
Making a projectile based build now

ashcaller

they are 1 alch, and with 2 you can have 44% chance to ignite and 100% increased burning damage and about 40% spell damage

very easy to pull ghetto burning builds with them

How shit, what should I drop? Im trash when it comes to building, aiming for the point blank projectile based returning lightning strike.

A 48H race is vastly different from a 1-4H race, that should be pretty obvious. You're looking at a very short SSF league actually, and people who are good at those are not necessarily racers who practiced min-maxing short, bursty races. Optimal classes and builds are not the same and you now have to take into account ascendancies, late game viability on SSF gear/gems. Endurance and end game experience become important factors (playing 30+ hours over 48 hours is assumed), and RNG and early game efficiency matter much less.

Realistically speaking, since getting a demi is not even a question for a first timer competing against experienced racers, and you "only" get 10 points at most for being top of your class, and 2-3 points for being first to clear side areas, you should simply be aiming to get level 90+ which is 115 points and ignore the rest.

So pick a class/build you're familiar with that you know can handle Beyond+Invasion+Torment+Onslaught and are confident in taking to level 90+ in 48 hours. Obviously being fairly tanky, not being gear reliant, and not having to deal with reflect are all important in building a strong map pool within 48 hours.

Finally, planning. Before starting the race you should be aware of
1) Your level 90+ tree, including level thresholds where you use your natural respec points to min-max leveling efficiency. Do not plan around 5+ jewel sockets.
2) When to do lab and when it is optimal to do so. An Elementalist would get a massive early boost as early as late normal, while an Ascendant would get nothing until late cruel so doing lab+cruel labs back to back is generally more optimal if you're Scion.
3) Every gem you need and when you get them, pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Quest_rewards
4) Plan around a 4/5L. You could farm a Tabula in Aqueducts but I'm not sure it'd be worth the time.
5) How long you farm Dried Lake in each difficulty, especially Merciless as you want to build a strong map pool asap.

ur lyfe son

It looks really easy to hit 100% stun chance on every hit
How is that build not broken?

this is not how stun works
there is no such thing as stun chance

Stun duration is based on % damage dealt to enemies life, you won't be able to stun high life bosses/rares unless your build is dedicated to stun, in which case it's generally garbage in other areas, unwavering is also a common mad mod at higher tiers which makes monsters immune to stun

you need pierce not return

chance to stun is based on how much damage was dealt
dealing 50% of an enemy's health guarantees a stun
you can reduce the stun threshold with passives, gems, and affixes
you can get "reduced stun threshold" up past 100%
that means the amount of damage required to guarantee a stun is 0% of the enemy's health.
stun duration is always 325 ms without modifiers, the amount of damage dealt isn't relevant as long as you can proc it, and 100% reduced threshold means you can always proc it.

...

>When the total Stun Threshold Reduction would be over 75%, it is instead treated as being:
>75 + ( Stun Threshold Reduction - 75) * 25 / ( Stun Threshold Reduction -50 )

This was nerfed at one point, as Kripp did a build that stunlocked the screen using ground slam. It took maybe 24 hours for that nerf to go live.

Even if you did manage to reach 90% reduced enemy stun threshold, a 1 million hp boss would be treated as having 100k hp, meaning you would need 50k per hit to guarantee a 0.350 ms hit and hit ~3 times a second to "permastun", if you have 150-200k+ DPS, I don't think stun is really something you need to be worried about

why does it always take like 3 responses of retards who don't know what they're talking about before someone can just tell me that stun threshold was nerfed and falls off after 75%?

that's literally what the first reply told you you nignog

the first reply said there was no such thing as stun chance in this game
he's actually retarded

he's technically right, since your stun "chance" is actually a probability based on conditional statements, so you never have "100% chance to stun" unless you deal more than 5% of a monster with 90% reduced stun threshold (conditional statement)

>what is warlords mark
actually you used to be able to permastun everything with level 1 blade vortex thanks to curse effect, but then it got nerfed

>>what is warlords mark
a flat chance to stun which cannot be additive to a conditional chance to stun, user 1 is still technically right

>there's no such thing as chance to stun because you can only increase the odds of stunning instead of guaranteeing it
looks like you're retarded too

there is a probability at which you stun an enemy
there are ways to increase the odds of stunning
"hurr there's no such thing as stun chance" because I didn't use the exact term used on gear (because the context of my conversation was not about reducing stun threshold but maximizing my ability to stun, hopefully getting up to 100%) is not useful conversation.
>warlord's mark
also this.

except the part where it is additive, else it would be useless because you can't stun with a hit that has less than 20% chance to stun

it literally says chance to stun
technically he is incorrect because it literally says chance to stun.
he's not technically, literally, practically, emotionally, or any other kind of correct
he's just fucking wrong.

but if your probability varies wildly by several orders of magnitude between a monster with 10k hp and a monster with 1 million hp then it's not very useful to speak as if you have a flat chance or probability to stun
alright, treat 10% as a baseline (probably 4-5% if we take into account reduced cursed effectiveness), since that number is inferior to 20%, you still have to consider your damage and monster life, which makes your chance to stun based on conditional statements, so there's no actual flat chance to stun in game
see above

>but if your probability varies wildly by several orders of magnitude between a monster with 10k hp and a monster with 1 million hp then it's not very useful to speak as if you have a flat chance or probability to stun
i didn't say flat chance, i said chance
you
dumb
piece
of
shit

next you'll say there's no % chance of applying elemental status ailments in the game because you can deal so little damage that they won't ever apply
you fucking retard

>It looks really easy to hit 100% stun chance on every hit
you literally cannot achieve this
it would take 160% curse effectiveness on warlord's mark (which you didn't mention), this is not achievable by any means

thus you don't have a "chance" to stun (a stat tied to your character), you have a "chance" to stun based on your damage and monster life (a conditional statement)

yes, you can never have 100% chance to ignite, freeze or shock for the exact same reason

I still pop a boner every time this song plays.
Thanks opisafaggot.

actually no, ignite wouldn't be based on any monster life, so you could have a flat chance to ignite

>100% chance to do something is the same as any chance to do something
you made an unhelpful post that was not correct and did not answer my answer question
someone else made a helpful post that let me see the error in my strategy.
give it up.
