So?

>daily remind that Ford raped and stole from many companies to get ahead.

Keep crying bailout boy.

Daily reminder than 99% of classic car swaps get a chevy engine.

Not that I'm a chebby shill or anything.

I hate GM too
>daily remind that Ford has never come up with an original design without another companies help

More horsepower, but less torque than the 7.0l LS7.

Shieeeeeet. Pity they didn't stick these in the FG X Falcons.

>gm fangirls this assmad
What's wrong? Bent a pushrod reving above 5000 rpm?

THE LS IS 100% TOP TO BOTTOM A FORD ENGINE

>power at 5000

I see no issue. Im not revving the fuck out of my engine and not having any power till 3000 rpm

another fantastic Ford thread by our senpai Alphonse

>uses my alias to avoid getting btfo
Thanks baby.

>can read the part where I said
I don't like GM either.
>Daily reminder that Ford is a worthless company that sponges off other companies for a profit. Having zero care for the consumer

>plastic oil pan

You gotta be kidding me...

[citation needed]

ITT: GM FANGIRLS BTFO

>mfw thats true

i hope someone makes aluminium ones sooner or later

Don't have to tell me.

depends on the plastic they vary like metal, also a lot of other cars do too like the Nissan z

There is literally no such thing as a suitable plastic for an oil pan.
Just like there's no such thing as a suitable plastic for an intake manifold.
Plastic degrades very differently from metal.
Plastic is not suitable for vital parts on a car that's realistically expected to be in operation for 25 years.

If you don't actually think there's a suitable "plastic" for an oil pan / intake manifold then you simply lack any semblance of materials engineering knowledge (Which is fine, you're not an engineer anyways).

Calling it "plastic" is also a dead giveaway.

> he doesn't know what a PC/ABS blend is
Oh man

Seems like all manufacturers are doing it lately.

What is Nylon 6
What is Nylon 6/12
What is glass-filled Polycarbonate

spotted the boomer

>All these shills
We have seen catastrophic engine failure caused by plastic engine parts for decades now.
And it happens in cars as little as 5 years old.
I don't care about your glass reinforced nylon alien jizz impregnated transperant aluminum.
It degrades with heat cycles. It cracks. It becomes brittle. It doesn't matter how heat resistant, impact resistant, and oil resistant it is when new.

I bet you kids support solar road ways and Bernie.

he isn't a boomer

he is a dumb high school dropout that tried to rape a girl, i remeber i doxxed him and found out that shit

Plenty of catastrophic engine failures caused by metal parts, you oblivious fucking retard.

> Degrades with heat cycles
Depends on the polymer. Thermosets, elastomers and thermoplastics all display hilariously different traits.
But I guess you're talking out of your ass because you haven't read a material datasheet in your life.

Metal is perfect. Crankshafts, bearings, camshafts, lifters, springs, valves all never fail. Because they're metal, guys.

High school drop out? Actually?

Are you like one of those 60 year old tards who think any engine with an Aluminum head will eventually warp?

something like that, ill try to find my dox

>Listing all metal moving parts
Lets keep it on oil pans for now, how about it?

???
It makes over 800hp?
this LSX made by GM makes 774hp

chevrolet.com/performance/crate-engines/lsx-454-r.html

The original LS1's are now ~20 years old, and sport polymer intake manifolds. They're bolted directly to the cylinder heads.

Guess what?

They're fucking fine 20 years later.

Poorly engineered parts are just bad parts, metal or polymer. Being scared of a fundamental class of materials is lol worthy.

Lighter
Smaller
More reliable
More torque
Gets to peak power sooner
Less expensive
Design is 9yrs old

>not production

They're not fine though.
They were designed to not be extremely critical parts like on other cars though.
They're brittle, they're cracky they're leaky.

And if you would check my first post on the subject you would see a very big and essential qualifier.

This is true, for some reason.

>Production - the action of making or manufacturing from components or raw materials, or the process of being so manufactured

Its made and sold by GM does ford even offer a crate motor 5.2l yet?

You can buy a complete with everything including fuel tank LS3 for 8500$
Add in cam headers and tune and it will make 575hp without issue.

YepI bet you have a v6.

It's because chevy motors are cheap and their parts are cheap.
It kills me to see nice stock looking 30's cars to find out the fud stuck an sbc in it.

It isn't in any production vehicle.

Just look on your local craigslist for hot rods.

Most of them have 350's

Try again?
Gm sells a factory 8 second camaro with the LSXR engine

Why are you even posting on here?

youtube.com/watch?v=6qItrfYVw-E

I would do a dodge 24 valve, for torque.

>moving goalposts

Just because you are gay for your father figure doesn't mean you have to have his brand of car.

Ya it is.
It's made in the production line at GM.

lol btfo

copos are production you autistic fuck.
sure, small number production, but they are produced.
fordfags btfo

The ones being sold have 350's, because they are ruined.

>just have a vague look at an arbitrary website
>citation for an outstanding claim
You were dropped on your head as an infant, weren't you?

Just want to make sure that this is happening.

You are asserting that the claim that the LS/350 is not the most popular american engine swap.

Have you literally discovered car culture yesterday?

Birds fly, water is wet and people swap SBCs.

Like what, do you want a fucking university study done on the benefits of putting a cheap push rod v8 into a chopped up old car?

Fuck right off with your pseudo-intellectual garbage.

Copos are not production you dumb faggot, they don't even have a VIN

GM sucks massive cock. Oldsmobile was the best thing they had, and if GM just let them build what they wanted we could have been so much further building engines by now.

Pontiac was the best thing they had.
>tfw no Quad4 powered 2nd gen Fiero

Metal rusts, bents, warps and such you know?

But Olds gave us the Quad4.
The fiero was pure sex, I love the MR2 but will end up with a fiero to avoid ricetax
