Cream of the Crop of /dsg/ posters. I bet you masturbate to Malcolm Reynolds videos.

How do I fight washing pole users? The range blows me the fuck out. Rolling with demon axe and whip.

Most people learn not to circle their left fairly early on, user.

Use a shield

Tell me the best one

so i should cycle my right so he does nothing but block? k

just hold a stable shield, shuts them down completely

Using just the weapons you have, try and keep mind of spacing at all times and predict when they will do a running attach to trade with a HA axe attack for more damage on your end. Or you can pressure them by running right up to them and keeping right on their ass; if you two hand the whip and use the WA while right up to them you'll either get a free hit with it or they roll out and either get hit by the end of the WA or create enough space for you to use your axe if they use a running attack.

It was one of my favorite weapons in the beginning when I played my first playthrough blind.
As soon as I finished the game and tried to check out online I realized that literally EVERYONE was using it, and since I hadn't pvped with it yet I had no idea exactly how bad it was.
It's called the meme edge spin sword for a reason.

black knight shield and rapier

avelyn when they give up on running r1

Is there no difference between ng+ other than some rings?

enemies have 15% more health i guess

PS4 FC Anybody?

Anyone else like the twindaggers?

enemies have mor hp and deal more damage. you will also find different kind of souls (soul of an old hand or whatever)

>guy hacks against squads
>point that hacking is never excusable
>/dsg/ shits itself
>people talk about CEing items
>oh no, this is wrong

Fucking /dsg/, make up your mind

I still wreck enemies and despite a new name they still give the same amount of souls

>all around me are familiar faces

Getting bored of how op the astora greatsword is.
How are the gargoyle hammer or imolation tinder for pyros? Man serpent hatchet looks fun too

What level and weapon reinforcement should I be at if I want to watchdog in Crucifixion Woods/Farron Keep respectively?

youtube.com/watch?v=U6uyuIQYlfY

Dark Souls 2 announcment trailer was so fucking good... It set such a perfect atmosphere of despair and journeying towards a hopeless goal...

Are there any games that actually deliver what DaS2 promised?

to me, hacking is never excusable.

Immolation Tinder is a pure INT weapon.

Gargoyle Hammer is mediocre.

>op
the only "op" thing about it is the rolling attack (which is STILL bugged 4 months later)

GIVE SOME NEWS ABOUT THE DLC YOU FUCKING JAPS

there's too many events we need to give events a rest for a while maybe in a few years we can have events again

bypassing grinding is different from actually breaking the very fundamental mechanics of the game

whether or not you want to grind is only up to you, the end result is the same

fashion is for gay little boys

wearing the full armor set is for patricians

will drake host an fc tonight? supposedly we're going to have one in the infinite zombie pits outside the cathedral

Sure.

You have a kick for a reason.
And a bunch of weapons have Arts that let you smash their shields right out.

>Patricians
You life must be shit my friendless Virgin Neet friend

Quick, what would be a fun build to constantly backstab with?

Fuck. I just want a unique weapon that isn't shit

Another thing that Dark Souls 2 did better.
I mean, DS2 even has a fucking boss show up early to give you a scare.

Anti-Magic Field + Fatal Anything and/or Baby's Nail.

f-fuck you

Witches Locks are 'alright' for pyros despite not being mechanically different from every other whip in 3.

I used it for a while but honestly, I can't use these lame whips after BB'S threaded cane

...

I like you

Do you suck dick?
If yes I will invite you to my Party next Week

I want to replay DaS again, but I already know the game by heart.
How can I make it exciting again?

No estus

>tfw want to make turtlepoking greatshield strength build but full on character slots

>refined with 9str/60dex
>farron ring when it only decreases the cost of quickstep by 1 FP.
>bandit's knife on a crit-focused build instead of a dagger with an actually worthwhile crit modifier
What are you doing?

Also quickstep daggers are shit for backstab fishing since you can't BS out of a quickstep like you can from a roll. You're better off just using a rapier with a shield so you can fish properly and punish retards with that stupid shieldpoke BS gimmick.

could someone here pls help me get some stuff to my new character?

wait, theres limited characterslots? how many?

>get summoned for big tree
>host summons a madman
>enjoy the show
how nice of him

host won but the fight lasted for eons

i think it ten senpai

Also, I can help you mule

Watcha need transferred? Are you on PC lad?

What strength weapon would you even turtlepoke with?

im on pc, need some rings and armor transferred

Winged spear or estoc

Twin princes is dead now, who can I get to summon me at level 100?

Might as well just go quality then, both of those are dumpster on a strength build.

But that's utterly false.

Winged Spear is A strength scaling infused with heavy.

man strength weapons are so fun to use but they're so shitty

A scaling and dumpster AR
Letters ain't the whole story guy, look at the numbers before you waste your time.

15 dex 66 str heavy estoc has 337 AR, while 15 dex 66 str refined estoc has 343

15 dex 66 str heavy winged spear has 350 AR, while 15 dex 66 str refined winged spear has 349 AR

Reminder that refined is balanced.

the stam consumption is really killing pve for me
in ds1 i beat the game with like 15end and a greataxe, no issues, but in ds3 you NEED extra stam always to roll boss combos

what the heck?

There isn't a single better weapon in the game for turtlepoking than heavy estoc or winged spear

that's the disadvantage of not pumping dex

>can't string R1 into second R2 or R2 into second R1
hack job

Refined is fucking borken

heavy estoc is a meme perpetuated by lucy trying to diss SL80 pvp. It's inherently shit

This weird combination of Dark Souls and Bloodborne isn't working.

It's possible to beat the game with a strength weapon, but it's so obvious that the game wasn't designed with them in mind.

how would we even do this?
can you drop your sign where ive already defeated the boss?

How the FUCK do you PvP, let alone invade, as a mage?

I'm using a Crystal Winged Spear as my melee weapon.

He's gone drop a red sign bruh

>Old Dragon God

wew lad

quality boss fight

>dex playthrough
>twin kats are shit
>ricards is shit
>sharp carthus is shit
everything is mean to be quality or nothing

only thing you get is chaos blade

be melee first, mage second
use spells to harass, like soulmass, hail and dart
MLGS, sage rapier or buffed twin sellswords

what where?

For invasions you sneak attack I've heard.

Are soul greatsword / farron flashsword any decent (in either PvE or PvP), or should I just stick with great(heavy) soul arrows for now?

It took me 2 playthroughs to realize Orbeck of Vinheim even existed. I just walked straight past his area every time because I didn't see the upwards slope.

Worst Boss in the whole series ?
Easiest one?
Best One?
Most difficult?
Your favorite?

you need a red sign soapstone on whatever character you're going to use to give me the items

we'll meet at the tower on the wall bonfire with the pass "dsgmule" and you'll summon "Drake"

Use the "Leave" option on whatever items you want to transfer after listing exactly what you're going to transfer to your other character, and then you will summon me as a red phantom and I will drop the items you traded to me.

Creepiest bosses?

Bed of Chaos
The church dudes in DS2
Artorias
Pontiff
Artorias

I usually lead with soulmass unlocked, sometimes if you roll into them when they're trying a running attack the orbs on the side will nick them and you can turn around to hopefully hit them with the rest.

Farron flashsword and soul greatsword have saved my ass many times, but don't spam flashsword, you'll get parried easily. toss in a running flashsword once in a while. farron dart for potshots, and crystal soul spear, although i tend to use it sparingly. People don't expect you to cast it right in their face, especially after you've used soulmass a few times.

I carry a crystal lothric sword in case I run out of fp, but it does crap damage.

Worst
Bed of chaos
Easiest
Dragonrider
Most difficult
For me I'd say pontiff
Favourite
The champ followed closely by soul of cinder

Soul Greatsword has basically only 1 use: it's the only sorcery for most of the game that can hit multiple targets, but unfortunately its damage isn't particularly great for how close you need to get to hit with it and how long the windup is.

Farron Flashsword is a pvp spell. The FP-efficiency is absolutely atrocious and takes forever to kill anything so it's not really worth using in pve. Any time you could've used flashsword, a regular melee weapon would have done more damage, faster and for less stamina. In pvp it basically just lets a sorcerer access downgraded straightsword R1s without wasting an offhand.

Soul arrows will be your bread and butter for most of the game.

Some weapons can

Thank you.

I've beaten about 7-8 bosses so far in DaS2 and they all felt the same. Interesting bosses when?

It sucks that the most popular fight club is in an area with a mandatory boss

Antiquated gloves
hunter's ring
ring of favor
shcolar ring
antiquated skirt
antiquated dress
lorian's helm
55 moonlight arrows

could you set your sign now at the first bonfire? the other character isnt at the second one yet

Cool

PVE is a cake for mages, but they were never meant to be viable in pvp. The only casters that can be viable are pyros, but experienced player can dodge all they throw.

I'd play

The only bosses in this franchise that are interesting are the giant humanoids with swords

>Gwyn, Lord of Cinder and Artorias
>Fume Knight and Sir Alonne
>Pope Sully and Soul of Gwynder

>4 optional bosses all in bad FC areas

honestly Gaping Dragon first time I fought him

So was Lothric's kingdom entirely made up of undead?

Any fashion that goes with the billed mask for a heretical cleric knight build?

NG+7 infinite zombies seeded final destination no items allowed

most people in the dark souls universe are undead friend

>host summons an NPC phantom that does piss poor damage
>die because of increased boss damage and prolonged fight
It's not fair
