Why? Never heard of it, its always people going on about R4i RTS or R4i Gold Pro. What is DSTT and why is is better?

For one thing, it works with forwarders. All I know is it's a newer option but considered one of the most solid.

Idk what forwarding is, seems like installing ds games like a cia to get a shortcut or something. Not interested, more like too lazy actually.
Besides that, what else is best?

just a normal r4i gold is fine

It's the cheapest, it works fine on Luma without the need of patches or launchers, and it's compatible with forwarders (shortcuts to your games on the 3DS home screen). Performance is on the same level as R4s too. That being said, if you're not using Luma you might have to consider getting a flashcart that runs under an unpatched TWL_FIRM
