Well, here's the class declaration. The constructor is only called once. Really, if I add that last float to the public members list, the game just freezes when I start it.

I have solved the issue in the mean time, thank you for the help anyway!

The problem was that I was using a totally different variable which was only declared, but not set to any value. I just had to set it to 0 right at the beginning, and now everything is working again. I still don't understand why this issue got triggered now, but it makes sense. It's my bad. I've got used to JS, and there this was not an issue.

I want to do only 2D, it's multiplatform so I can whore myself to as many markets as possible, and it's C++. I've tried it before and the documentation sucked assballs and was written in gookglish, on top of deprecated code everywhere, but it's got what I need.

I'm taking a break from doing that, and am trying to push out an unimaginative low-hanging fruit literally meme game in august.

SDL2 + OGL + some image library then, no need for all the baggage and limitations of SFML just for that

SFML is already off the table for this user anyways, since no mobile support whereas SDL2 is very good for that

True, but disagree that GL doesn't belong in the OP, we already did it for some games so it'd be wrong to do it for some but not for others. A Greenlight isn't about popularity, its a sign that a yesdev reached a milestone of progress, which is something to celebrate.

Thanks, but I think gamedev is inherently a pursuit for people who dream big and are slightly delusional about their chances of "making it", because let's face it, 95% of this thread won't. Although I enjoy making games I don't think I'm cut out for it.
