n54s arent the most reliable engine built, some bits around the engine like injectors, hpfp, turbos tend to fail. However, the engine itself is pretty much bulletproof.

Is this accurate? 400 to the crank sounds more likely. The tuned 335s I see at the track are generally pulling high twelves and trapping between 105 and 107. Had a long convo with a 335xi owner last weekend who knew what he was doing and was a hair slower than me with 1.8 60' times (ET and trap) and I'm around 350/350 at the wheels with AWD.
