3. Place dirt blocks as you enter caverns to stop monsters
4. Get to dura steel depth, hopefully a gnome town
5. Plant a teleporter flag
6. Place your wood platforms on the sides of your mine shaft and climb out
7. Return at will and hunt along the bottom of your mine

Fuck, none of the vertical doors align so I can't build a few long elevators, several of the smaller rooms have weird proportions and make furnishing them a pain. And all the bronze building shit/paint are a few shades off of the ship's exterior color. The thing also feels smaller than a number of the other races ships.
