However, sims 4 made me realize how awful and broken 3 is. All that content but a rotten core. Sad, really.

I might play TS4 in 4 years, when it's finally done.

For me, it's good enough right now.
It's only missing seasons and generations from core gameplay.
The rest of the packs, pets-university-supernatural are kinda their own thing. I mean yes, it's nice to have them but they are not really necessary.

My biggest question is why they cut back on the magick stuff they did. 1 was whacky shit, 2... did it even have magick? 3 is alright but it's not the same. 4 might get it at some point, if not it'll be in 5.

Please don't put magic in S4, please god no. I'll take werewolves and faries over that shit. Also TS1 has a very quaint and pleasing aesthetic that hasn't aged at all, probably never will. TS3 on the other hand REALLY shows it's age and a definitive mid-2000's video game attempt at realism that's nothing more than Oblivion-tier potato face uncanny valley.

I'll admit, if someone gives me both games for the days, I'll play SCC over TS3 mostly cause I can work with SCC over it easily. Build mode was just so much easier. I think EA/Maxis has lost their ways 2bh

I don't remember. It's not that much older than the sims 1 I know that. I figured this computer could handle it but when I tried to get OpenAL as well it said my computer wasn't compatible. Then again, I'm on an 8 year old stock shit computer. IF I keep my new job (oh boy I'm a fry cook at McDs again) I'll build me a new PC

Personally I'd rather open neighborhoods with a load screen to travel between them.

I've always played sims like an RPG, and the open world gave the RPG aspects of the game a massive boost, especially with World Adventures/etc.

Granted, most of my world map travelling was done while zoomed all the way out and/or at max speed so the open-ness was kind of wasted for the most part, but it was nice being able to look around at the town while waiting for my sim to finish something, or scout ahead to where I needed to be

I get you. It's just differnet tastes I guess. I enjoy sims more for the life/town simulation but I can see how that gets dry. Honestly I wish the people behind cities skyline would do their own life simulation with neighborhood building, more reality and less supernatural.

Because fuck Hulk Hogan and John Cena. The chances of them being on a "second-rate" reality television show are slim. Hogan would most likely just start another one of his own like "Hogan Knows Best" and Cena is already a part of "Total Divas" which is fairly popular on E!.
