Get used to this, because it's going to happen over and over again. Your skill level will always be limited by the current patches of the game, not your actual skill level. It's not like melee where you get increasingly better over time because you learn the game and combos - here you're only as good as the developers allow you.

So you play a party game too

The first point is mostly easy, you just need to force your way in through the choke, usually with a flanker drawing aggro to the side so your team can storm in

Not gonna lie, the second point is tough. If you give the enemy enough time then they'll have an impenetrable defence. 2nd point is easy to defend. I've found that not giving them a chance to set up is easily the best way. Sending in aoe ults (e.g. Dva) aren't always optimal because there are plenty of places for them to hide from the ult in a short space of time. So yeah, striking quickly and deadly is the best option in my opinion.
