Blizzard is having lots of trouble balancing wanting to keep the casual audience with wanting to be an esport. It really shouldn't let you group up for competitive with someone ten levels under you, but then you wouldn't get to play with your friends.

The other day, a four stack of really good players came through smurfing in my rank 50 game and carried me to victory.

It was fucking eye opening. Seeing those four glorious bastards play was incredible. The teamwork, the call-outs, the hero synergies. It's completely changed how I play the game and my winrate has skyrocketed.

Maybe, despite the low odds, one of you happens to be ITT. Thank you for showing me the way. Thank you for having four people on voice chat and yet not shitting up the game with memes or bad jokes or shouting. Thank you for complimenting my skill for someone as low level as me, even if you only really meant it as a complement to my attitude.

Whatever rank I go on to achieve this season, it's all thanks to you four smurfs.
