It bothers me that they make katana handle shift knobs but no enornous zweihander or claymore knobs
>tfw no poleaxe shifter going through the roof
Thats definitely the gayest shift knob. Its even ribbed for his pleasure.
It's gotta be unpleasant shifting something that long
I always thought a cavalry sabre shifter would be neat if done right.
Eh, a lot of older manual-trans pickup trucks had really long shifters. I've driven an '83 F250 and a '92 F150 with long shifters and it's not bad at all. It's not like they're a racecar so you're really not concerned about speed-shifting while you're driving them. The extra height makes it quite comfortable to rest one hand on the shift knob while you're driving.

That would be sick, if you had a drill press you could probably make one yourself
I am actually disgusted by this
tfw you'll never have a knife hidden in your shifter like pic related.
I really like Hondas old ones

It took 20 replies? You've changed Veeky Forums
Not really makes shifts feel wayyyyy fucking important if not slow as fuck.
Not that you could shift fast in those old transmssions anyways, as they're far from being smooth and tight.
that's not what your mum said when she was polishing my knob last night
...
I don't think they have anything to connect to anymore
This was never funny
>faggot can't deal with the fact I shift gears with a wooden duck
...
Sadly no, it doesn't work and there's no service for them anymore. I just leave it there because I like it
good on ya man that's pretty cool
It's a mallard

Would it be possible to connect it to your cell phone?
Not sure, it has a cable that leads to the ecu or behind the firewall. But the cable is just a normal phone cable

>Resting hand on shift knob while driving
What's wrong with you
i had an old school bus that looked like that
so fun to drive the old logging roads
>What's wrong with you
He watched too much Initial D.
not him but my shift linkages are way too worn for it to have any effect
My old one broke and I never really got around to getting a replacement.
I found a bike peg in my garage that just so happened to have the same size threads as my shift knob, so thats what im currently using.
My choke broke too so i stuck a bike brake lever on the shift stick, since the cable was the perfect length to reach the carb.
You should see my dad's 66 F-100's stick. It's about as long as my arm.
...
But that's a hip bone.
holy shift, i'd really love to see this
I really want this but I don't care to pay 170 shekels or whatever they're charging for it
Make you own? Don't you have a drill press and a tap set?
>this
Growing up driving tractors and large trucks makes me want for a longer lever on everything. Both my Miata and my current Tacoma have extenders. I like the short shifters but that long throw just feels right for some reason.
Super comfy in things with:
a) long shifters
b) big torquey motors
c) trans worn so it doesn't matter
Stock.
yes but I'm not sure what to use material-wise. no need to tap either, BMW shifters don't use threads
:^)
Surprisingly it was the only thing I could find that matched the rest of the interior; if you saw it in person, it's actually pretty nice. The P.O. had the entire shifter wrapped in electrical tape and the stock rubber corrugated shift boot all fucked up around the top near the knob. So I ripped all of that shit out and literally only had a crown royal bag from a friends crown royal on hand.
keep it
what does the bike brake actually do on those old things
It's connected to the knife-bone
>when you realize it's on a scion tc
front brake
it's the clutch, user only has one foot
What?
I just told you guys its the choke.
Are you PATRIOT ENOUGH SON?
Also woody blanket shift boot is second
neat.
Do the buttons do anything?
No, but you get to yell "FOX THREE" as you press them.
He should rig therm up with nitrous, scramble boost, or maybe just the BOV
Make it into some bluetooth interface for your phone, powered by the cord of course. Also clean your car before showing it off you disgusting animal.
>broken shift boot to fit that heinous shit
Kill yourself this instant, young man

When will I be rid of all these gears?
are you a bad enuff dude?
Where else do you put your hand?
On your other shift stick :^)
