Pot of Greed doesn't deserve to be banned. It's perfectly fair and every deck can use it, like Harpie's Feather Duster (OCG) and Raigeki (TCG). It could come back at 1 no problem.

Shi-en was nowhere close to the power of crystal wing m8, the only reason he was horrible was because Gateway allowed you to shit 2-3 of him out in 1 turn. Only 1 deck could make him and once gateway got hit he wasn't shit.

Beelze when it came out caused people to rage quit left and right because there was no out to it.

They were nothing but rogue sacky garbage. And Shi-en was never that powerful, it was Gateway behind him that let them +10 and get a Nat Beast next to him as well. Once Gateway was banned the deck disappeared, it was the only thing that made Sams good.

That is not even remotely true, 101 was released in January and by the time we got Beelze in the spring, everyone and their mothers was running Ark as easy generic E/D based removal, so it wasn't an issue unless you wanted to stick Beelze in def to wall up.

Castel was the final nail in Beelze's coffin, as nobody would bother making it when they knew the opponent could just spin it back easy as fuck.

I never had problems with beelze.

Don't forget how Six Sams had things like Shock Master to supplement those Gateway loops. Hell they have Gateway at 2 in OCG and they've only managed to top TWICE. And one of those formats actually had Shock Master AND Ptolemaois in them so you know shit is bad
