I'm new to WoW, as in I've never played it in my life. I've played other mmos extensively such as SWTOR or FF14 and, honestly, I feel pretty overwhelmed right now.
Is it too late for me to start playing? I don't understand most of what people are talking about in game and I feel like I'm getting carried really hard in dungeons. It all feels like me being there makes no difference

How so? I know that cloaks/rings/necks all only have stam and secondary stats on them, and legendary items don't change stats, but what about normal epics and stuff? Surely that stuff still changes, right?

Shit's out of whack and heirlooms are overpowered.

Give it some time.
If you really feel like a burden, go read up on some boss guides or just take a look at their skills in the Dungeon Guide ingame.
Or join one of the Veeky Forums guilds :^)

You are probably getting carried in dungeons because almost everyone has items that scale with their levels (heirlooms), while you have regular gear for your level, which has a massive power disparity when compared to heirlooms.

By the time you hit the higher levels, you'll start understanding more shit. And don't forget to just ask when you don't know something, not everyone will sperg out.
