Before this gets lost in the thread...Can I just copy and paste my SD card to another and it still work? I'm on step 18 of part I of the arm9loaderhax part of the Plailect guide... my SD card says it doesnt have enough room to copy over emuNAND_original.bin and emuNAND_original.bin.sha. I have a larger card that I can use but I don't want to start this all over. Forgive me for ignorance, I used gateway with my old 3ds and have never had to downgrade or anything.
Evan Morgan
Henkaku confirmed to be kernel exploit
Brayden Lewis
All Vitas (Original, Slim, PlayStation TV) are available to homebrew immediately as long as they are at or below firmware 3.60. For devices below firmware 3.60 it is possible to update specifically to it so there is no difference between updating or purchasing now or later.
Isaiah Sanchez
Yes, you can just copy your SD card. The only time you can't do so without additional steps is when you have emuNAND.
Easton Scott
Vita iso loading NEVER EVER even if it is a kernel exploit the games still need to be decrypted which will never happen
John Moore
PSP eCFW on henkaku when
Joseph Hall
yes but you need to go back and reformat the new sd card to the emuNAND format and repeat all the steps from there on a new sd card
Jack Miller
Hey guys just got a GBA and homebrewed it, when can we expect a PS2 emulator?
I want to play Persona 4.
Isaac Mitchell
NEVER EVER Nobody wants to work on it. There is no drive. The vita homebrew scene will be dead in weeks for this reason. It's all downhill from here.
Nolan Phillips
...
Daniel Murphy
monday i hope
Nicholas Hernandez
Quite the opposite, if we get it out of the way now people will move on since its potential has already been met.
We can bring the PSP scene forward a generation and leave it alone now that it's been preserved.
Aiden Davis
Has a homebrew scene ever died quicker than this one? I can't believe it's already dead.
Jayden Harris
I'm trying to install NTR CFW. After i copy the files to the root and install the cia via FBI I run BootNTR. After some seconds it says "current firmware not supported. bnBootNTR failed". Any help? I have luma + a9lh and a N3DS XL
Isaiah Williams
>tfw vita homebrew is already dead I was hoping that we would at least get an N64 emulator. Oh well...
actually i think i might have fucked something up, oh dear;
after i fixed everything my shit is always wrapped, if i unwrap it, open it and then exit it it still is wrapped
before anyone asks, im running only from sysNAND with a CFW, so there is no issue with the two being linked
Dominic Brown
Get a 3DS XL to play 3DS on CFW or get a cart like Sky?
And get a Vita to play everything else?
Would there be a good quick way to have same save file between mobile and on a Wii I want to set up? I'm supposed to use an HDD via USB right, but that's formated differently, correct?
Could I have the saves transfer over LAN?
Adam Wilson
Damn looked it up, impressive for a GBA game.
Although it's not the first of its kind I've seen.
Aaron Miller
>that stupid edition meme again Disappointing
Nolan Brooks
He's saying it won't come through henkaku. You can still do it through ePSP exploits, so that's all we are waiting on.
Thomas Myers
But muh kernel exploit
Wyatt Smith
GUYS HALP
the neo geo emulator on vita can't run money puzzle exange :(
anyone can halp me to get on it, or am i fucked?
Colton Ward
>all we are waiting on is yet another fucking exploit that could come at any time or possibly never great. truly worth getting hyped for.
Hudson Roberts
How new are you?
Grayson Myers
>IOSU
Justin Davis
>wii poo Nobody owns that shit. Go cry somewhere else, nintencuck.
Thomas Ward
this your first homebrew scene?
John Moore
Tell the DEVS
Ryan Myers

Luke Cook
From where did you acquired the game? From where did you get the bios? Did you made sure that the bios is in the same folder as the game?
Connor Carter
>implying people own vitas
Jace Nelson
Wasn't actually suggesting you rush in and start second guessing the 3DS's method of indexing everything. That's why I said to only do it if you don't have anything important. You can, for example, delete the entire Nintendo 3DS folder and it will be forced to create a clean new one, but that's where all the games and saves are stored. Obviously you would only want to mess around like that on a system with little to no use.
Kevin Nguyen
Is there any way to change the fucky screen on the 3DS that shows up every time hax are initialized? To a gif or something?
James Perry
Why on earth do you still have a splash screen?
Anthony Brooks
yeah you can put whatever
Jaxon Perez
Found this gem on Reddit xD
Adrian Russell
>rxshitter
Evan Richardson
found what? can't see it
Jack Cook
I just did A9LH.
Is there a link kind user?
Luis Sanchez
>I just did A9LH.
You shouldn't have a fucky screen then.
Evan Nelson
ok guys, unfortunately I installed a USA official theme in my EUR n3DS via CHMM3 and all I got is a black screen, I assume that I have to erase the theme folder direclty in the SD card but I don't know where it is
Leo Sanchez
I use luma.
Whenever i open the homebrew launcher, it does the glitch show while it loads the ropbins and shit. That's what i want to change.
Jaxson Scott
pretty sure you can't change that i thought you meant the menuhax thing
Ryan Clark
Open themes on your home menu Change to a default for now In your SD card it should be under /themes/
Ah ok, thanks for your input. I wish I could change it.
Jose Rivera
>CHMM3 Are you from the future?
Nathaniel Garcia
majority of the homebrew apps already have a cia so you don't even have to launch homebrew launcher
Alexander Carter
welp, the problem is that I boot into a black screen, thus I can't naviguate into the home menu
yeah, from 2060 to be precise. More seriously, I mistaped it
Joshua Edwards
>mistaped it What are you trying to tape?
Hunter Roberts
Any devs here? What would be the best language to learn if I want to tinker and write homebrew for the vita? I know C is the gold standard, but I've heard lua is pretty easy to learn for someone who's never touched code before.
Also, what's the feasibility of getting the various middle ware engines for the Vita to run via henkaku? For instance, I know PS Mobile, Unity, Gamemaker all export to non dev kit Vitas, but AFAIK, the latest firmware version removed support for the former two. Since henkaku is basically running on a PSM exploit in the first place, would it be possible to export our homebrew directly as vpk files in the future?
Landon Barnes
my suicide
Chase Peterson
That's true, i guess i could track down .cia files of everything i want.
Have you tried with the SD card ejected? I don't know, i'm no expert but maybe grab another theme and replace the contents of the bad theme folder with another one?
Ayden Sullivan
Help me, I'm trying to update Rednand (step 27 on part 3 Plailect guide) Update tells me it failed (on my 3rd try)
is this something I just need to keep doing or did something go wrong?
David Lewis
Anyone know where I can find the Boku no Hero Academia 3DS game? It's Japanese but I can just install it through ticket still right?
Alexander Foster
>Help me No.
Wyatt Ross
Lua is easy as hell to use and a great starting point just to get the idea of programming structure down.
Unless you plan on porting an emulator (which would require a lot of c/c++ experience) or trying your best to make a AAA game there is no real reason not to use lua, as it can do quite a bit.
I haven't been up to date with the 3ds scene for a year, what is the best homebrew now to play roms? arm9loader?
Camden Rivera
ah, thank you
I'll share my folder in a few min brb
Connor Hall
Having some issues transferring one SD card to another with my emunand... I created a disk image copy which I can put on the new card with no issues. However, when I try to expand the partition using easeus partition master, it completes then says that the drive needs to be formatted. The copy works but the expansion does not. Any ideas?
Gabriel Robinson
Okay, I'm going to start finding resources online to learn it. What I want to do is port over Ren'Py, the code itself is open source, but it's written in Python. Does that sound like a reasonable first project?
Austin Smith
lua and python are pretty similar
Aiden Robinson
...
Gabriel Perry
Fuck off, Math!
Liam Green
Trying to install the undub for P4G on my vita, but it's not showing the patch folder for the ID (00120), wat do?
Noah Murphy
The exploit itself is still being researched, it could potentially open up more possibilities if it allows kernel access, which seems likely considering the PS4 port. I doubt Vita piracy will ever be a thing, but without it, you still have PSP iso and cfw loading, PS1 iso loading, emulators, homebrew, game mods and cheats, system settings modifications and cool shit, like Ren Py, RPG Maker player, etc. I would never do it on a PS4 though, if the games are encrypted like the vita, then it's pretty useless besides dumping assets.
Zachary Taylor
Create it.
Ethan Lee
Can we expect NDS emulation on Vita one day?
Robert Williams
We have one now.
William Diaz
I did, and then I did the next step, but it said I didn't have the specified game inserted (I did).
Landon Jackson
I'd start small and make a few time-waster games, then move onto larger projects before trying to port something.
I'd check out the psp lua tuts that are floating around online, most of what is avalibels should should be what you need, barring syntax differences.
Joseph Scott
We already have an emulator
Isaac Clark
If you can't launch the game after applying the patch, try deleting it and copying it once again to the patch folder.
Evan Howard
Reminder that vita piracy will never, ever happen. The games are strongly encrypted.
Owen Long
Oh I see, well, I mean can we expect playable NDS emulation, cause right now DeSmuME is pretty much useless.
Jackson Parker
Reminder you're a faggot
Leo Edwards
i'll bet you $5
Jack Turner
if you have kernel access then you don't need decryption keys. PSP keys were only found after the PS3 ones were leaked back in 2012.
Dominic Baker
>Desmume >useless Wow alert the presses
Wyatt Kelly
> it can get more than 3FPS at least. that's what we're getting on average right now.
Austin Martinez
Not that user but I'll take that bet.
Jackson Hernandez
>I mean can we expect playable NDS emulation Never. No dev wants to work that hard on something for a dead scene.
