Should I take the plunge? How much do you reckon it will depreciate in 3 years?

Not even once, mate.

>NA supra

Never EVER do this.

What cars do you recommend if im on my P's?

Waiting to not be on your p

Supras are my favorite car of all time, and I have to agree, don't waste your time on an NA.

13k corolla.

If you're looking at shit like an overpriced NA Supra there's no point in us recommending something like a Civic.

NA or NB MX-5 or an E36 are the go-to cheap RWD 4cyl P-plater cars. Good fun to throw around corners.

Falcodore for hectic skids.

If you've got more cash to burn, the 86 and BRZ or ND Miata are options.

If it's just looks, seventh gen Celica with an aero kit or the Tiburon.

Why not a type r civic or Integra

looking for front engined rwd. If i cant find anything decent i might just get a 4th gen liberty gt or wait until ive got my license.

Mate you can barely fucking drive, don't be a picky dick. Get a bummer and wait till you're not shit at driving

If you can find one in reasonable condition and for a reasonable price, sure.

I raced at rotax nattys...

And if I told you I fucked yur mum would that make me a pro at fucking?

probably?

It'll have VVT-i which makes them a relatively decent engine and it is a manual, I think they had a 5sp as well which isn't a bad box.
In terms of price... meh, maybe around 10-11ish dollaroos might be better and you'd really want to check out its service history as it should have had the big service about 30k km ago and it'll probably have valve stem wear as well.

>on my P's?
Yeah, not a great idea as you'll probably bin it into a ditch, hard to get reasonable insurance and despite being N/A, these aren't a cheap car to run, fix or keep in petrol.

get a boring now car and wait. save your money

Looks like ill be riding my bike

For something about 1/2 or less that price you can knock around in is always an option though. Plus when its scratched, broken or otherwise busted you won't nearly be as gutted!

I could get my P's right now but I need 50 manual hours if i want to drive manual. What is a cheap manual car i could learn in?

>4th gen liberty gt
Why.

Older mememacjomes but most of the cars are still out there worth looking at.
Old R31 skylines and commodores are sometimes still in manual and tend to be fairly cheap, plus they're awful so if you crash it you wont feel bad about it either :)

looks decent with a lip and wheels

A 1F plate is brand new, like this week new.
Seriously it could be a money pit, you're honestly better off getting a Prelude or a 3 year old Focus.

There's shittonnes of cars out there that will be as fun and less hassle for that money.

If you don't have daddy's money you won't be able to afford insurance for anything that's remotely sporty - get a civic or corolla.

If you're putting insurance in your parents' name or have daddy's money get an E36 or IS200.

If you're completely bonkers and don't care about costs and want to go full on sportscar on Ps get an S2K.

If you are on your p's get an s15 like the rest of western sydney.

Hey Op, fellow AU's shitposter. Also fellow supra owner. Both NA and TT.

First, if you really want a Supra - DRIFT SALES on Facebook. Get one for between 5 and 10k. And I'd suggest just buy on for 6 months.
Supras are fun and all, but Aussie roads will do you no favours, police attention is a pain, and driving the lame NA little sister of its mad Torque Monster TT brother sucks.

If you want a car for your P's, buy a corolla. Seriously, just wait to get off your P's. Or buy a track car, cause that's ultimately what you want.

Supras are a pain to drive around town in, they chew a fair bit of fuel unless they are on the highway. And even on the highway at best you average 10l per 100km. They are quoted at 13L per 100km with 5 speed and 70l tank. Best I got was 700km to a tank. Usual, with his I drove it was between 500 and 600.

Parking something with such a long nose is annoying, better to drive an econobox shitbox.

But if its skids you are after, get a 4cyl BMW or a falcon/holdenodore. If you can get a corolla red or a Nissan or some shit, do that. But seriously lad, just wait.

Or get a celica. They are FF and pretty sporty looking. And for 3000$ you can turbo swap it with a 3sgte.

Have you seen my one? White. Black wheels. Flared as fucked front fenders. Carbon fibre bonnet?

what do you think of a liberty gt or too expensive? I have just under 20 gs saved which is quite a bit for 18 but not sure how much to use for a car

Whats the catch?

I spent 20,000$ on my Supra (15k for car 1k for stereo 2k for rego and insurance and another 2k for some new wheels and tyres) and I regret it.

I had a shit load o fun on my P's with that car. But cause it was so expensive ibbabied the fuck our of it. And it lost me my license 3 times and got me thousands of dollars in sdro fines.

Honestly mate, put 15k into a 5 year interest deposit. Do yourself a favour. Then spend the extra 5k on a BMW 4cyl. Or spend 1000 on a falcon ute and just thrash it.

Don't be a fool like I was, I ended up putting about 30,000$ total into my supra with everything. Resprat, bodykit, suspension, brakes, stereo and what not. The end goal was to swap in a TT engine

Anyways, don't be dumb op. You are young and trust me, you will more fun with a shitbox than with an expensive supra.

Oh, and when I sold my supra, I got 10,000$ for it...

whats the general consensus on honda accord euros?

nice cars. vtec yo. comfy as fuck. look decent. which year model? Ive owned a Prelude with the H22A engine and Accord manual gearbox. Fun engine.

lmao you are a fucking retard, but good advice

awesome car for under $10k, was gonna get one but decided on a magna for $600, maybe when I'm full licensed

this is true. this was not a smart decision on my part.

Im looking at a 2003 7th gen

Same situation bought a supra $16,500 really good car and love it to bits. swapped NA motor into it for my P plates and rebuilding TT motor with a bit more power. If I were you I'd buy any RWD shitbox and just have fun with that maybe like a s13 or something. Supra is great but I dont think I would buy it if I were in your situation

how is 180 000 km for an accord?

id do it, if its not too expensive and it all checks out. its honda, they are, in my experience, good engines provided they are looked after (obviously).
