hey o, quick question- should be easy.

What is the lightest, Japanese, RWD car made between 1980-2016?

BMW E30

If only it were true

Cappuchino

Boeing 777

Autozam AZ1

honda s600

wait, which is lighter the cappuchino, 86, or miata?

pigfat

I think the Autozam AZ-1/Suzuki Cara is slightly lighter than the Cappuccino.

Cappuccino. It's the only one of those that weighs under a ton.

Did you even read the first post? Those are from the 1960s.

Those came out in the 70s. They were sold into the early 80s, not sure if we want to count that though.

>it doesn't count because i say so

mazda FB rx-7 that has been driven during the winter in the united states north east.

...

op here

I'm just surprised Suzuki made RWD cars besides the cappuccino

Honda Super Cub c50

Ignoring kei cars. You have a choice of AE86, MX5 or my personal favourite the MRS

Are we sure about this? There isn't some niche non-kei car from 1980-2016 that isn't lighter?

This.

I drive an MR-S, the lightness is unbeatable. People that shit on it have no clue what it's like driving a genuinely light car. Everything else feels sluggish and unresponsive compared to it.

Suzuki Cappuccino maybe?

I miss mine
literally a lotus for poorfags

>670kg

KP60

1100 kg

There's tommykaira ZZ if you wanna be a faggot.

>" In Japan, it was exclusive to Toyota Corolla Store locations."
So it's a lighter Corolla?
ok, maybe not Niche. But as far as factory cars from the major manufacturers?

Honda beat

>tfw even lotus has the anaemic 1zz, it's just more pretty

>mfw can't find any mr2 specialists in my area that can help with 2zz/k series swaps

>tfw someone was selling a 2zzge swapped mrs for 2k euro but I missed out on the deal

>So it's a lighter Corolla?
The Toyota Corolla Store in Japan is just another outlet to sell cars. Doesn't mean there's any relation to the actual Corolla.
Example: The Toyota Corolla Store also sells the Toyota Camry, and GT86
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota#Japan

Must have been dying, you probably didn't miss out on anything except the car falling to bits, a 2zz MR-S would be for sale at the price of a stock one otherwise

>also sells the Toyota Camry, and GT86

a bigger corolla and a hipster corolla? That's a lot of corollas user.

eg hatch

op said car, not cheap appliance lawnmower

lol xDDDDDDD honda so shit XDDDDDDD
Meanwhile in reality

With the amount of *money* and work that went into that car, you can literally make any car as fast if not faster

literally a waste

I agree which is why there's so many people still building EG time attack machines and the fact that spoon exists... oh wait

WAY faster cars can be built for the same (even less) amount of money spoon dumps in their lawnmower.

Spoon exists because island. Welcome to the rest of the world lol

>Being this ignorant
It's like your mad that you lost to a Honda

Like what? This was back in the 90s, basemodel civics were cheap as fuck and 2mil yen worth of tuning isn't that much. I mean, for straight line performance the civics aren't ever gonna be great but for track they are pretty damn good.

>ignorant

So tell me the exact dollar figure Spoon spent on the EG, and tell me how a car of equal value with the same amount of money spent on it would not be faster?
>2mil yen
Source?

...

It's right there in the video, retard.

Spoon Civics are barely modified and wouldn't cost much to duplicate with similar parts. The whole idea behind their civics is having fun on the track for not much money.

And yet time attack civics still rape 911s, corvettes etc with even more money spent on them

youtu.be/B-7aGvVFoig

>in the video

You're telling me someone spent $20,000 tuning a Civic and that now makes it a worthy car?

>20 thousand fucking dollarydoos in mods + 4 thousand doolarydas 1.8 liter 4 cylinder econohatch
>good

You're both delusional at best

There's also a model in that video that has only 5k worth of tuning and it finished third right behind the gtr. Also this was back in the 90s, you can't compare it to today's standards. But basically you need to get over your prejudice of honda. Even a stock civic with just a b16 has plenty of potential.

Dollar for dollar there are better cars that can be tuned twice as fast for the same amount of money.

It should also go without saying that most tracks and roads in the world are not Tsukuba, so it's pointless to use it as a benchmark.

You seem very confident with this ''twice as fast'' shit, care to give me any numbers? It's not like I disagree though, there's many options out there today that it mostly comes down to the tuner and not the car. Also, Tsukuba just happens to be a place that has a large database of different cars. If there were more tracks out there that had databases as large I'd cite them too.

Probably some kei car piece of shit with 15hp

Suzuki Carry

I like Datsuns

Mfw these niggas basically driving gokarts

Autozam AZ-1 = 720kg
Suzuki Cappuccino = 725kg
Honda Beat = 760kg
Suzuki SS20 Cervo (pictured) = 535–625 kg (rear engine, rwd)

Who cares desu? It's by far the fastest in the lightweight category

...

Datsun were only good 1970-1980

And they were only REALLY good 1970-1975. Everything started getting ugly and pigfat after that

Aren't those all FWD?

Hayabusa Cappuccino

Nope, rear engine rwd. The second gen became front engine, fwd.

Every single one was RWD
