Thanks. Looking at buying a bike that's been improperly stored. Talked to the shop here and explained the situation, they don't seem overly concerned about it. Guy is going to drop the bike off next week and I'll have final word then. I'm hoping for the best.

The storage probably won't be that bad. Just turn the thing on with full choke and a fully charged battery and let the bad fuel run out. Worst part will be the potential rust in the tank though.

If you're the guy from the last thread, don't buy unless he's giving you a hell of a deal. 500 quid right? That's not too bad, but see if you can A) start it up reliably and B) take it for a test run. If everything holds up, you should be okay for that price but make sure you do some maintenance or take it into the shop before any serious riding

Not him. I have posted a few different questions in the last few days though. I told the guy to take it to a shop and if they say it's okay, I'd buy it off him. It's an XT350, asking $2100. Unless the tank is filled with liquid gold, he's not going to be getting full asking price.
