Before I go to sleep, I'm gonna bump by sharing some stupid thoughts I've been having. I really like JoJo, and one of the things I really like about JoJo are the over-the-top, larger-than-life characters. I've been really craving an Ace Combat game that's more like JoJo in that sense. Think about it:
>new enemy ace squadron appears
>menacing sound effects while an unsettling color pallete is used
>almost every ace is Varcolac/Hamilton-tier of ham and dramaticism
>most still have very valid or ambitious motives and charmingly [insert adjective here] personalities
>liveries and emblems are extremely stylized
>abundance of "NANI?!?!" and "MASAKA!!! BAKANA!!!" And their english equivalents when you outmaneuver them
Belkan War is basically JoJo ace combat without the ham with the way it handles ace squadrons, while Cross Rumble has more ham and cheese, especially for Beast and Cocoon Squadron. Unsung has the ham, but not so much the charm or cleverness, both in characters and in writing.

That sounds incredibly shitty.

Everyone wants AC4-5-0-6-X remakes, and here I am, just crying that we'll never get the JP Electrosphere remake.

Electrosphere is old enough they would never remaster it, but rather remake.
And while AHL was kinda good, it's really not AC2,
AC04 was more similiar to AC2 than its remake.

I have no idea. We were fine with the F-22 but now even the JSF is falling through.

Marines wanted STOVL capabilities for their LHDs, and the government didn't want to issue a separate design requirement for the jarheads, so their STOVL request got tossed in with the USN and USAF requirements when they issued the JSF outline

Literally no one has been asking for a remake of 6 or X.

Marines, in the US, are part of the Department of the Navy.

The Navy is the Navy, has its own Air Force, and has its own ground force. Which also operates fixed wing planes.

Meanwhile the Army isn't allowed to own the A-10s it wants so badly.

Because whether or not they want to admit it, the USMC is part of the US Navy, which has always maintained a separate aviation service from the Air Force

I understand that, as marine commandos are a thing
But it's the navy that gets to ask, not the soldiers depending of it.
How did one group got so much power ? They are basically a fourth branch of the US armed forces now from what i see, among the original three (Air force, navy, army)

Remember the US was a nation founded through armed revolution against what they perceived as tyranny.

Grouping up under a unified command tends to be a mission-specific organizational structure, rather than an overall doctrine. This is because land, sea, and air forces have very different operating methods that don't lend themselves to a single unified command

This looks like a proto-T-50. It seems at this stage of development, 2004-5, they hadn't quite gotten the fuselage and wings arranged quite right yet.

This appears to be some kind of F-16 prototype.

Speaking of Flankers, I found this. Not sure if this is just designs or actual blueprints.

I did a little research on this one, it's an early, early design for the Avro Arrow. As you can see, the delta wing is pretty much the only thing the intended mass production model had in common with this prototype.

It's too clean to be anything but a blueprint

This wasn't intended to be the Arrow from the start. Roy Chadwick, the artist, died in 1947, but later on Avro designers clearly liked the design enough to use aspects of it.
