That splitter is the air dam. Since there's no grill, gm used air dams to force air up into the radiator. It's plastic and yes I scrape on everything but it's designed to. Got used to it as my previous ls1 z28 had it. Does scrape on bumps if I don't angle it, but that's due to my cutout placement. Just has cai, x pipe, cutouts, hurst short shifter (waiting to install my mgw shifter I just picked up) and cat back as "performance/sound". Appearance wise just forgestars, blacked out all lights, new projector headlights, and some corbeaus. Do have plans for it but need to save up some dough
