rip in peace ddg

I've started a level 1 hard mode character and have gone through the game recurving somewhere between zero to no rune crystal drops. I guess they were replaced by these dumb moneysacks. Is this going to be a pattern that continues even into BBI?

>gone through the game receiving somewhere between zero to no rune crystal drops.
fucking smartphones

Ded, too ded

...

currently post-game with the thunder daggers i got from caxton, is there a specific weapon i can go after?

>general dies around the same time I buy the game

drow are made for _____

Dragon's Pain is purchaseable from Joye in the everfall.

BDSM

It's pretty much canonically their whole schtick.

It's not fair. Why does the Soulborne series have such an active community and we don't? :( Is it because we can't tell which pawns have active owners?

because soulsborne is a meme game with a horrible fanbase

their generals aren't comfy, DDG's are always comfy senpai

I just wish there was a way to filter by owner activity. I'd rather rent a guardian pawn of someone who still plays the game, than a perfect pawn of someone who has left the game. That makes me feel like I'm encouraging a more active player base

Can normal dragonforged Gransys armor and weapons hold up in BBI?

The best gransys weapon dragonforged will see you through BBI pre-Daimon, just stay away from the bigger enemies and corpse feeders. You will have plenty of chances to upgrade to a BBI lv2 weapon pre-Daimon, which you can use for post-Daimon runs.

Armour-wise you should be mostly OK. Most enemies in BBI will hit hard regardless of what armour you use, so as long as you have decent HP and tank tank it. I would prioritise MDef though, seeing those spells from frostwyrms are brutal even with very high mdef.

It's just that I really really don't want to do BBI. It seems like the Everfall, just worse, ie, infinite dungeon + throwing big enemies at you. I prefer Granys. But I know others like BBI, so I just want to make sure my pawn is at least adequately equipped for those who take him through BBI.

It took so long to dragonforge all of his armor and weapons ...

>yfw you'll never experience dragons dogma co-op

Damn this general is about to die.

I was hoping one day I'd come into ddg and see people abusing the pawn manager mod to make the JRPG party of their dreams. Oh well.

Post your Arisen and Pawn or else your mother will die in her sleep tonight

She won't. I'm just desperate to keep this general alive

Came back to the game for a little to see how my pawn was doing. Not incredibly well, so I decided to say fuck it and mess about with her in ways that I liked rather than attempt to please others. My dream of making her a hexer will forever remain out of reach, since her AI will never be able to understand how to use the spells I want her to use. Instead, she's now full support. If anyone wants to take a level 134 mage with voidspell and rusted staff miasma on an adventure, Xantippe is available. She's not a guardian or nexus, has 100% sleep resistance, and stability to stop the wind from pushing her. She might not be as useful as a sorcerer at that level and potential equipment, but I want to see whether she's any use to anyone the way she is now.

This also counts as a little experiment to see if she's illegal/corrupted, though I assume not since she's had a rent or two since I messed around with that dinput8.dll

Please live

>stop playing for a few months
>reinstall
>rest
>50,000 RC

Is this general so dead or all others so alive they push this one off?

Both. I saw this general dying in just half an hour since the last post, which is not much, but sometimes no one post for 2 hours, specially during ded euro hours.

How did this general manage to stay alive before the PC release?

It has periods of super activity, and then dies at certain hours for just long enough that other generals can push it off the wagon.

Posted Pawn before, here's her Arisen.
Xantippe is 135 now because I ran into another Garm while testing her skills out.
I have, however, just now noticed that the dinput8.dll allows you to respec/delevel yourself and your pawn. I'm thinking about another playthrough back at level 30 or so. Swap out the gold rarified BBI archistaff for an upgraded common one and see where we go from there. Xantippe might actually be helpful at that level range again when health is low enough that anodyne matters and enemies live long enough for torpor to make a difference. Basically a new game except without the grind for discipline points or equipment.

Also thinking about a whole new run with different characters, but I'm not too sure whether the save managers work or if there's a better way to handle them. I don't want to mess about with family sharing.

>dinput8 lets you create and cycle through weapon skill sets
>can switch from nuking bolidemancer to fucking about with my less-used spells
Now this is pretty wizard.

obligatory warrior post:
>three skills
>10 minute arc charge
>jump attack all day
>no dodge/block
>berserk gaybies
>can't reach Death
>can't reach wight
>can't reach harpy
>can't even reach Tweety Bird
>not fun
>fighter > everything else >>>>>> warrior

If you delevel her I'd be happy to give her a hire. I'm one of those nutters that actually likes having a mage in tow.

Sure, what level?

>tfw we thought pc port migth be able to fix warriors with mods
>it didn't
Did DDON do something with them? Judging from some videos they seem to be relatively popular as a damage dealing class.

still not as bad as the mage is.

did you guys know that, there are numerous hints in DD that would suggest that a wakestone is actually an arisen's heart?

They made warrior the most OP class in DDO.

so, since a seneschal is not the same thing as a king, and is more or less a moderator, does that mean that there is an entire pantheon of cosmic DD gods who do the other jobs? (seneschal is just one role in a medieval court)

Neat. It looked like they even made mage/priest enjoyable.
Which is why it hurts even more that capcom NEVER EVER'd us.

Didn't they just renew the license for DDO in America though? Doesn't that mean they're probably going to release it here in some form, maybe?

>probably maybe
It might mean literally nothing too until we have confirmation

I'm 44 at the moment, but whatever you feel like is fine.

The console release days were fucking fast in golden age, several threads a day.
They were that fast during PC release, but wore out quickly.

No worthwhile mods, no SCIENCE types, no big community events or hiring like there used to be, and how fucking difficult it is to find a particular pawn helped kill it way faster than console threads.

This is all meta, overwatch threads are actively killing generals. Good night sweet prince.

Meryl is the BEST pawn EVER!

Just got off from work, all I was thinking about all day was slaying some beasts as a warrior in DD:DA, but I remembered warriors are shit, and that there's no good mods to make the game interesting, fuck, they even removed the Berserk armor from the PC version.

why am i even installing this shit again

Marie is the 2nd BEST pawn EVER!

I've dropped her to 45. Hope she'll behave! A friend of mine told me she'd regularly jump off bluemoon tower, I hope she won't this time around.

Avrora is the BEST Arisen EVER!
I'm really fucking bored right now /ddg/

>No worthwhile mods,
>there's no good mods

there's a mod that triples the spawn of everything in the entire game

nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/322/?
youtube.com/watch?v=ubSnXI7VhXc

It means they just didn't want it to die. They could just sit on it and do nothing with it like they've been doing this whole time.

How do you delevel pawns?

Yeah but that's still just three spawns of the same enemy
If we're talking strictly monsters, I would have killed for a random encounter in overworld mod, or something that put BBI mobs in gransys, etc.

Mods for everything else are just lackluster. There's not even any decent porn ones ffs. Say what you will, they keep a cycle going

nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/96/?
Under stats, attributes, there's a respec button, along with a level up one. Surprisingly simple, I was worried I'd have to recalculate stats or something but it does that on its own. Pretty good mod for all kinds of things, including item swaps and adjusting augments.

I'll probably bring her for a couple of Daimon runs (hopefully a Death kill or two on top of that) when I get back to my PC.

That's a weird way to spell Rook.

Thanks, cos. I'll try to get on and hire her later tonight.

ooh those two mods would be awesome, who knows maybe someone will make them some day, once they understand the game a little better, don't give up hope.

3 of the same enemy would be a pretty decent challenge to a level 200 at least so you wouldn't run out of content

...

Does this fuck with pawn renting or is it completely safe to use?

...

I was about to find out, along with other shenanigans like equipment restrictions and skills. It looks relatively safe, and visiting the rift after deleveling yourself gets you random pawns at your level just as it would when you really were that level before. Wait and see, I suppose.

For the sake of experimentation, please do say so if something about her seems wrong. One of my worries is that some of her skills will appear as empty since shared weapon skills would not be enabled on your side. I'm hoping this won't be the case, though.

Dangerously close to archive. Live, just a little longer.

please live /ddg/

That 1drv link to the DDON torrent is broken, and reddit is currently shitting itself.

wat do

The community here is just bad these days, Veeky Forums as a whole has fewer quality posters. If it were not so people would have stuck around.

To be fair, DD is a relatively short-lived game. I myself have been away for a very long time until I came back to visit. The general should be in a much better shape if DDON ever does come to the west, but as is I don't think there's much left to do.

>Doesn't that mean they're probably going to release it here in some form, maybe?

We were told the truth back when it was announced, it will likely never leave Japan. Considering the shape it was in when it launched that wasn't much of a loss.

...

>Xantippe is with him
>my Xantippe, perfectly safe and hire-able with her rusted staff, dress, and all, after deleveling her and doing slightly illegal things to her skills
o shit waddup!
Does she have all her skills? Did she behave? I imagine she must have died a few times due to her now low level.
Thanks for taking her along. I've only recently killed death myself, though as a sorcerer it needed more than one round.

Two things. One, there are some mods/trolls who can see who is posting here even though they're anonymous. They've been fucking with this general since PC release hit and seem to really hate some /ddg/ oldfags. Two, lack of search by user name function makes hiring pretty shit but considering the last bit of info it's probably best no one sticks their neck out if they're going to be undermined.

Freckles.

She died a lot during Daimon (kind of expected), but Torpor from the Rusted Staff helps a lot in general. Too many people underrate the value of debilitations in this game considering how many boss-tier monsters are vulnerable to them and are pretty much useless when hit with shit like Torpor or Silence for spellcasters.

I've been meaning to install this mod. I wish i'd done so from the start, but it'd fuck me up in BBI, though.

As is i'm struggling to get through there at 88. I've only just done enough to unlock both door shortcuts at the start of the area.

>torpor works on daimon's first form
I cackled when I learned.
I'd give her silentium, but its short range and the limited amount of enemies it can affect make it a little less effective than I'd like. Works wonders on that fucking pope, though. Ideally she should've applied torpor through miasma, which seems to work better than lassitude when used with a rusted staff. Afterwards she likes to run up to slowed enemies and blind them, though I imagine she didn't often get the chance. I wanted so desperately for her to be able to use perdition and sopor, but the AI genuinely cannot use the skills under any circumstances. At the very least she should be a little help with both halidom and voidspell, though that's petty much just cheating at that point.

>silly idea to make a black mage
>oh it should be easy there's a black skin color, give it big white eyes, put a hat on it and cover as much skin as possible
>character customization
>change skin black
>nose and cheeks are bright red
jesus fuck

That's the makeup. Just remove it.

It's not

aaaaand she jumped off a cliff
i'll try to get her back as soon as i'm done with this Daimon run

i'd say wait until you've beaten BBI pre and post daimon and then you'll be ready to take things on in 3's

although by then you may be way too strong for the overworld so maybe use the DD save manager to keep a lower leveled(say, 100ish) character to take on triple drakes and triple hydras in the everfall

>this general is about to die

I've heard this said for the last 3 years.

O... okay.

Maybe try adding makeup and making it black?

Please respond ;_;
I need to know if I've gotta downgrade in order to purify anything in BBI.

No idea about the crystals, but you could always shill your pawn.

You won't get enough RC unless your pawn is hired or you grind specific enemies in BBI.

Post party?

/ddg/, I just started playing Dark Arisen. It's bretty gud.
I like Rook. He's a best pawn
Why is he locked at level 6?

All NPC pawns are locked at the levels they are. Any pawn you summon thar is made by a player will not have its level updated while it is following you. Make sure you casually and constantly are rotating pawns and getting new ones and replace ones you out level.

Because of PVP and lorefags.

We have neither.

Despite all of that

Warrior >>>>> Fighter

Can't get enough of that pawn's ass.

i.imgur.com/ARUwbCU.png

Souls community is fucking vile. Dogma used to be the same way if you ever tried to make anything creative because muh leejun mods/faggots.

> Is it because we can't tell which pawns have active owners?

Yeah, they didn't want anyone identifying themselves anymore and made the place hostile. Which is fucking hilarious, you can't come back from that crap.

Thanks
Figured that out as soon as I reached The Everfall. I died a few times before I realized I needed new pawns.

why are all the randomly generated ownerless pawns so disgusting

Because random generation isn't a good way to get waifus.

nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma/mods/87/?

Aiya. I see some of that hostility around from time to time, but I like to think of you folks as pretty chill dudes. I am rather not fond of some folks who'll go out of the way to rent some pawns and give them super shitty ratings though.

I only do that to princess pawns. If I get tired of them showing up in the rift, I hire them, one-star appearance, and give them a hoe or large rotten fish.

...

Hot dickings!

Would you hire a pawn not wearing the Princess Gear even if what they have on worse than it by a large margin?

I had the Princess Set on mine for two levels and got tired of it. Nearly every pawn in the rift had it on and it was annoying.

Absolutely. I don't pay attention to defense or mdef when hiring.

>a hoe
Devilish

...
