Das Switch

Okay Veeky Forums, i'm in need of a more reliable car then my current car (will go into detail later) so I can start delivering pizzas. I just need to sell my current car so I can afford to buy and mod the car that I plan to own for the next 5-8 years,
here is my current car config:
1966 mustang with a 289, 3 speed manual. mods are:
>edelbrock 289 performer intake manifold
>holley 600 cfm carb.
>flexalite fan/radiator
>various small things

what I plan on getting:
2000-2004 Mk4 VW Jetta GLI TDI w/5 speed manual
planned mods:
>6 speed swap
>stage 3 malone chip tune
>straight pipe
>methanol injection
>deiselgeek panzerplate
>Bora conversion kit
it should get around 50-60 mpg
I'm planning on craigslisting the rustang
any thoughts?

nice meme

i....i'm serious

>stage 3 malone chip tune
I saw Mk4 and read everything but TDI and my mind exploded when I saw stage 3 and your supporting mods. But why go meth/water with a TDI? Your objective is to sound like a diesel tractor with that straight pipe and roll coal in a little car, not try to be fast. Get a 04.5 1.8t GLI if you want 6spd and cheap quick. Yes, 1.8's are reliable despite what people say.
>inb4 timing chain waterpump exploding car

>timing chain
>chain
dont listen to this guy
even if he was generalizing
coming from a turbo 1.8 wagon owner

my objective is actually fuel economy, I was a mechanic for a specialty tdi shop for a while and the tune actually does a lot for fuel economy, the speed boost is just a side effect. also the methanol injection, from what I have seen it works well.

I'm used to my old father ramble on about how cars were in his day and what not, honest mistake user. Not sure what you mean by the rest, I own a 1.8t gti.

Ahh, yeah go tdi then. 1.8's aren't that bad on economy either, though.

please explain why in gods name you are delivering pizzas

cuz i'm an 18 year old high schooler?

Bruh, I don't really want to rain on your parade but dont buy a car you want to keep and deliver pizza in it. I did this, it stressed me out so much.

I know how you're going to rationalize it "What better way to enjoy my car than to drive the fucking piss out of it?". I did 23k miles/yr, is that something you REALLY want to do to your car?

Diesels don't give a shit, the world will burn over in a hellfire and whatever is left of the human race or whatever sentient being will rise on/visit this earth will find every diesel engine our society has made still running. That and the mk4 2.0's, those things will take a bullet and still run I will never understand why

Sounds like a good plan then if your plan is to create an unkillable pizza car

Senpai, fuck pizza's. Literally find any other work.

if done correctly the car can easily take it, I used to see them every day with easily over 400K miles on them. and you can't argue with the fuel economy.

>replacing a gen 1 mustang for a Jetta

Kill yourself or have 2 cars.

i agree with this user. it's pretty much every day that somebody on Veeky Forums asks about pizza delivery because it's a job that involves driving your own vehicle, but the reality is that it's an insanely low-paying gig that puts so much unnecessary wear on your vehicle. Most places don't even properly reimburse you for gas. You'd literally be better off driving uber if your only desire is to have a job that you can drive for.

get a 24V VR6 you dirty slut.

This is the only acceptable answer, you little shit.

but i'm a poorfag

THEN WORK AS A PIZZA BOY IN YOUR MUSTANG.

Think about it. Most pizza faggots have their shitty civics and shitboxes and scooters while you deliver it in your fucking mustang. As long as it looks nice enough, you get fit, are white, and get some shades you are almost part of a porno set.

OP is such a moronic full of VW maymas cretin its unbelievable, no wonder the only job he can do is pizza delivery when he is so mentally challenged

MK4 are N-O-T in any way as reliable and bullet-proof as you trying to imply here, if you really insist I can give you my first hand list of whats is always wrong with VW from that era
