Going to be completely honest here.
For someone who drives for fun, manuals are much better, they just give a more enjoyable experience for those that like them.
They're also easier to fix if something goes wrong.
However if you're just a normie who needs a stop and go daily driver who doesn't maintain his own vehicle, an automatic is better by far.

Automatic gearboxes are like those old clunky mechanical things that were full of gears and springs and levers. Prone to failure, expensive, unreliable, and just plain clunky and heavy.

The thread should have ended here. I absolutely deplore automatics. They make me fall asleep. Even for my commuter vehicle. I always enjoyed driving, even on my commute, but now since my shit ranger got totaled I have to drive my dad's normal jeep and it just sucks. I don't expect everyone to feel the same as me but the feeling of coming into question corner like a mad cunt and downshifting right before beginning the steer is a magical feeling that so many normies will never know.
