Does splashing magic/alching matter that much to avoid HP exp just to have a lower combat level? I just can't understand it since its like the "norm" to level magic. Don't you want a higher HP level?

remember you can get hp levels from ranged and melee too. Magic combat training is just inefficient most of the time, which is why things like alching are more popular.

Void works as a multiplier of the ranged value your level and bonuses supply. Against opponents with higher defense level and/or with lower ranged level, your accuracy will be significantly lower than d'hide, low enough to more than offset void's ranged strength bonus.

This is only true for Wyverns and Zulrah, different levels will apply to different monsters. Against Yaks for example, void will do more dps at a lower level.

Blue dragons it is probably somewhere closer to 75, 80 ranged.
