I'm in the process of getting diagnosed now. I was seriously weird when I was a kid. Most autists manage themselves and their symptoms. As we become adults we train ourselves to be less weird and socialise better.

That said, it's a spectrum. Some are full on, some are less so. I'm not playing victim at all. I'm just learning who I am. Apparently it's 80--90% genetic. I'm glad I'm this way to be perfectly honest. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Bro. While all the other kids used to sit around and talk or play basketball or soccer, me and my friends would run around making bird noises popping poppers. If we couldn't find any on the ground we'd pull them out of bins and pop them. After a while we realised if we kicked an empty chip packet on the ground the right way, they would also pop.

My doctor is a good doctor. He doesn't prescribe drugs unless it's life threatening. No antibiotics from him. He didn't suggest the autism, it was my therapist.

I'm functioning normally now, self taught. But like I said already, I'm seriously happy about who I am. Not playing any victim. It's just reality.
