Unfortunately they're never going to give junkrat a buff like that.

He's one of those heroes that can't be balanced for a comp level because he'll just become the ultimate pubstomper. It's because of these two different groups of players that him, Bastion and the other defense heroes are in the place they are in.

I just had my first comp match today

And holy shit was it fun
Zarya at full charge with a damage boost from Mercy makes me almost feel like Mercy isn't a useless healer.
Sure it's not entirely different than qp, but enough so that the people I was playing with were talking to each other and having fun.
Gotta say that was such a relief after playing QP to 25.

During the third round I used Lucio's ult right as the entire team had a collective 500 health and that helped push us to a win. God damn I had so much fun.

J-rat against tanks just takes a different approach, you need to use your trap to grab them and if it's Reinhardt jump behind his shield with your throwable, it's more work but Junk rat is fine as is.

fucking THIS. Defense especially on Assault is fucking trash. It's only acceptable in competitive because you play both sides. Joining a defense match puts you at a huge disadvantage.

How do I use the lucio boop to greatest effect? And I mean that literally. Whenever I use it it seems like people barely take off, but when other lucios use it on me I fucking get catapulted away.

It has a bigger effect if you're closer and you get knocked further if you're in the air while getting booped, aiming up also sorta helps, but not by much

If they added an option to outright buy a skin they might entice more people to drop money but then that would take away from the rng factor that drives people to keep buying boxes for that one skin.

Not that guy, but I approach it the same way I play any game's ranked mode. Namely, don't play if I'm in a bad mood/tired/whatever, and don't keep playing if I get irritated. If I hit that point early, I just do quick play and have fun.
