it's fine, I think I'm just going to get thick drybags and strap them to the sides for long trips. I don't do them too often and can't really justify spending at least $400+.

3rd for i

It's a bodybag.

Giant Loop Great Basin (60L)
Got it off CL for $260, looks brand new.

found a new good road too.

Need help from you guys.
18 year old male
150lbs and 5'7

I am looking at investing in a motorcycle and have no idea how to go about it.
Don't have much money rn.
Budget would be $4,000 at most but prefer lower.
WUT DO?

Oh now I see the GL on it. I thought you had a generic GL bag.

Been thinking about the Mosko Moto 40 or 80l system for my dual sport adventures.

Is that entire black mass of plastic at the front the gas tank?

what kind of riding do you want to do?

get a dirt bike/dual sport. They are perfect for shorter riders

Is this radiator protector worth it for $80?
The bike is nice enough I want to protect it, I have some rear axle sliders and spools coming in the mail soon too.

Get a $1500 Ninja 250, spend $800 on nice gear, set aside $500 for regular maintenance, spend remaining $1200 on cocaine.

My roommates on the waiting list for the Mosko 80L right now. He's super hype about it.

don't ruin it with stickers pls

>investing
Not in motorcycles you aren't.

well what do you like user?

I thought I really wanted a sport bike when I first got into it. then I realized I wanted a dual sport. then realized how cool a sumo would be

Just to college (30 mins) and work (5 mins)

Huh, I just notice my clutch cable must of moved around a but when I was putting on the sliders.

ruin it with stickers

any recommendations?

I only put stickers on my helmet.
They're starting to peel off because I go too fast.

I recommend you use post numbers when referring to other posts

I have heard good things about it. It was on backorder for awhile so I never pulled the plug on it.

no idea. im a newbie to moto

yes sir, 4.5ish gallons
sold as 4.2 but I've put 4.37 in it and haven't actually run it dry yet

I got bashed last time for posting... but k...

I will give you the internet forum and real life answer.

>not going down to the hardware store, buying some mesh and making your own radiator protector for 1/4 of the price u pleb

and

>yep, totally, looks good and protecting radiator is worth it.

I'm not nigger rigging shit for an $8000 bike thank u vry much

do a willy

>still those shitty ass pictures

Who bashed you? Ima dox them and send cum tributes to their parents.

>jk your bike is shit like everyone elses

don't pretend u bitch I know you aren't the real CTA

get a dualsport like a klx250 or crf250 or xt225/250
theyre fairly short, light and durable for learning the basics. then you can decide if you want to go streetbikes later, after you figured things out.

T-thanks user
I know :( I rode maybe half an hour today, the rest was spend in class and writing a paper. I'm heading out to some civil war battlefields on Thursday though, outta be fun.

I'm not, but I could still take a picture and then cum on it and then take a picture, that is a skill I possess.

>T-thanks user
At least you have a better bike than KKK.

thx dad

np ya little shit

I'm trying to decide on what sort of motorcycle I want. I'm conflicted between a 250 class dualsport or something like a klr650. Maybe even a 250 ninja or some kind of general purpose naked. I live in Colorado and the flow of traffic is 85mph minimum on the interstates. I want a durable general purpose motorcycle that can do everything adequately. I'm also a cheap bastard so I'm leaning toward a smaller motorcycle. I don't care to ride fast but if I get a big porky 650 it needs to cruise at 85 to be viable on I 70 or I 25.

Any ideas, I like the klr650 but I read it's only good for fire trails and gravel roads. My fuckin Honda Civic is good on gravel and fire trails so how shitty off road are they exactly? How syitty is a street bike in comparison?

bike and tires for Alaska winters?

where the roads are covered in snow for half the year.

I"m not giving up on motorcycle riding just because it is below freezing, covered in snow, and dark half the year.

Any of you guys build a motorcycle? Looking at a real basket-case of a motorcycle and was wondering what you guys have had experience wise.

dr650 would do adequate for what you want all around or an xr650l if you have the legs for it.

klr is pretty gutless and is pretty heavy so its not all that good at anything.

None of those bikes are going to be feel safe on the Interstate at 85mph.
I was on a Ninja 300 and at 85mph it was still questionable.

most 250s are going to be screaming on the highway at 60+

I'd say dr650/klr650 are good first bikes, but heavy. esp if you're a big nig.

FJR1300 or other tourer with a winter car tire on the rear and studded front.

Make sure your will is up to date.

From the ground up? Would be expensive and probably really shitty, unless you put some MAJOR dollars into it.

timbersled kit of course

Oh yeah

That

>planning on eating Freeze Bag Meals on my trip
>basically portion dried shit into bags, add a cup or 2 of boiling water, suddenly food
>realize the variety of dried fruits, vegetables and grains available
>even pouches of chicken and beef
>you can buy fucking butter powder and sour cream powder

It only takes one piece of shit flicked up at 100km/h to punch a hole in your speedys radiator. Is peace of mind worth $80 to you?

Posting my no bike

>berg

How many of you go bike only as in no car or truck available to use? Think about selling my truck and current bike to get a new super tenere and going bike only

Pebbles destroying my radiator is exactly why I bought the thing on impulse.

What's kind if silly is I should be prioritizing more safety gear but I'm more worried about the bike lel.

just don't crash

m8 you have the god tier combo of practicality. Don't fuck it up by selling the truck

Gimme dat ute

A bike is replaceable, you are not.
personal safety gear > bike safety

You can attach a side car and it'll solve the problem with traction through turns. Good tires with studs and you will stop faster than most any of the cagers out there. Nothing will solve how you will survive when it's -40 with 55mph windchill. You'd need heated gear, snowmobile shit all the time.

People in Alaska like to drive rwd trucks and try to pull out into the road to turn and spin their tires and lose traction. That'd probably be what kills you.

>Riding thru the toooooj
>Look back
>See this
>yfw

No manual turbo i6 for you

This.
Safety gear is only worth it if it is protecting you from things that happen often. Like flying stones or hearing damage due to noise.

I still have my Miata, but I've only drove it once since March, to move it from my old house back to my Mom's house to get it out of the driveway. Totally doable if you live some place where the roads are cleared well in the winter.

who is semen demon

Sell me your Miata

you killed a black guy?

I don't understand why this helmet is so popular... A lot of people ride with that here. It's like they've been watching some mad max or something. Does that bottom piece even hold in an accident?

IF I PULL THAT OFF WOULD YOU DIE?

Since they were probably on cruisers it wouldn't surprise me desu

Some ADVrider's wife riding a Firehawk

Yeah it stayed on his face.

He his chin was all busted up from getting upper-cutted by the road but it held up.

It would be extremely painful.

Do you want it to come with the NOS installed or no?
>$3500 without
>$4000 with

>that thigh fat crease
>10/10 would breed

>Be a nigger
>Cannot ride anything smaller than 1200cc
