Hanamaru Web Radio:
mediafire.com/folder/2zcdrw6pkmh6x/

Is MG announcing something this weekend?

...

Yes, though I'm guessing no new /blog/ games.

In other news, Otomate's twitter is teasing that the site for the Osomatsu game will open in three days.

Are there any translations for the web radio anywhere?

>Satoi wiped her Twitter account again

Why does she keep doing that

Please don't tell me she uploaded works only available there.

youtube.com/watch?v=G5HlvWAtCMY
Touken Hanamaru PV2.
SoL fags can rejoice.

She does sometimes, but mostly Ozmafia doodles.

...

Nah, the announcement page for new works will open in three days. Probably similar to the countdown page last year, with a video.
They just said they'll post new info about the game.

By the way, they posted two days ago that we'll get multiple fandisks and sequels.

I'm ready for comfiness.

>10

Why is gramps so great?

Speaking of swords, has anybody listened to the touken ranbu-like lewd cd? How was it?

I hope Maeda gets lots of screen time so that his VA finally gets some more roles.

New sword.

Damn it, I really am gonna run out of space soon. (Yes, even with the free point offer.)

Finally a sword I'd love, but I've given up this game more than half a year ago

>another megane
Yes.

Just noticed now that the second twitter account is suspended. Could you update it the next time? twitter.com/tkrb_ht

...

Probably not Ookanehira

With the amount of buzz around KBO lately, I imagine it's just a matter of time before an English release.

I'm playing it currently and it's pretty fun so far. Originally was only interested in Konparu, but the others have grown on me considerably.

This might be the wrong thing to say in /blog/ but I feel like it'd be better if they went with something that was a little more substantial than an otome game.

I think the point was more to gauge interest. At the very least it helped show that there're possible audiences for a live-action VN and an otoge, both of which can be considered risks. I doubt it'd be used to decide on only a single project to focus resources into, especially considering the target audience for each game is quite different.

Can I get an apk for Mystic Messenger? I can only find them on shady sites and I don't want to risk anything.

Why don't you just download it from the Play Store?

Made a note for myself. Thanks for pointing it out.

Are you the kind of person that can't enjoy your own hobbies?

...

Is probably Kikkou Sadamune, according to some poeple.

Is the series kind of homo or not what it seems?

Hey, Yagen confirmed.

The one on the left is pretty flirty and there's no female self-insert for them to fawn over, but as usual it's mostly just boys being good friends. I like it, though. It's a cute idol slice of life show.

Tsukiuta is a mix for fujos and otomefags I believe, but the anime has no female self-inserts so it caters more to fujos. The girls from the CD series might appear in the future but most of them are only acquaintances with the boys and they literally live in different planets.
Like said, it's mostly SoL and boys being friends. There's some good baiting here and there though, some guys were already sold as official duos even since the CD series started.

>watching a shitty show just for some cheap baiting when you could play a literal BL game instead
I don't get it

>Why are you having fun with things I'm not?
Sasuga /blog/
Why would I waste 15+ hours on something with absolute garbage quality? most BL games are worse than the average porn VN.
Also, BL anime are pretty terrible on their own too.

Pretty defensive you got there. The point was why settle for cheap bait that goes nowhere when you could have the actual thing.

But this is interesting
>why would I want to play a VN even though I'm in a VN general?
Why are you here? And please don't try to tell me otome games are any better than BL games, unless you want to look like you don't actually play either, or are an EOP.

>Listening to piano music when you could be playing a piano instead

The BL market might have been thriving if watching fujo anime and playing fujo porn went hand-in-hand, but people tend to form these weird things called preferences

Don't most BL games only have like one porn scene per route to fill a quota?

It's becoming more and more evident that next to nobody here actually ever plays anything but mobile games.

I don't want the actual thing if it's complete trash, it's not hard to understand. I would rather read BL manga than play BL games all the time.

I didn't even mention otome games. I'm not an EOP, but I'm not that desperate to play every game released because I don't have time and exporting is expensive for me, plus most titles are not worth expending actual money in my opinion.

I'm still playing stuff for PSP, but pirating. Also, VNs are time consuming and there's fuckton of them. Most people are playing different things all the time or simply are EOPs.

That's been evident for a long time. I've put off good games because people who later admitted they've never actually played them made a big deal about them being trash.

So basically you never actually play anything, but made your mind up about them anyway. I still don't understand why you're here, but okay.

Your comparison is shit.
Both VNs and anime are media, and you're just consuming it. It's different, but not that much.
And why the fuck are you against VNs in a fucking VN general?

yes

>And why the fuck are you against VNs in a fucking VN general?

I see this knee-jerk reaction frequently in this thread and I don't get it.

Nice assumptions. I play around 7 games/year, it's not a lot, but at least I don't depend on google translations. I start a lot of titles but end up dropping them. If I'm not enjoying something why would I even continue playing?

It's not about saying every otome&BL is trash, but in my opinion most of the games I tried were not very good, in the end there's great stuff around. That happens with anime and manga too.

>It's not about saying every otome&BL is trash, but in my opinion most of the games I tried were not very good, in the end there's great stuff around. That happens with anime and manga too.
Backpedaling.

There's not much to talk about when you're in the middle of a route and know that no one will reply to your post anyway.

What have you even tried? N+C and Pigeon Blood? Also define "trying". I wouldn't call a game trash after only touching a trial, nor would I for simply finding it boring or about a topic I don't like.

Because this is a VN general. There shouldn't be a reason to be here other than VNs, and maybe Tourabu since their general merged temporarily to this.

I really wish the mobage people would go to the mobage general.

>Because this is a VN general. There shouldn't be a reason to be here other than VNs

Oh look, the it's the "all /blog/ games are VNs" meme. Simulators are one thing, but do people here not know that there are RPG and strategy-themed games too?

Also, it's possible to criticize something and still like it. It's also possible to have a preference for a type of one thing and not the other. The fact that you don't understand this and get upset over anything bad being said about something you like makes you seem like an underage hugbox forum poster.

Not them, but the poster who's "upset" is the one who got defensive and lashed out calling all /blog/ VNs garbage, then started backpedaling when they couldn't keep the argument up anymore without looking stupid.

>calling everything garbage with no explanation, nor any clue as to what you've actually played is criticizing now

>moving the goalpost
We weren't talking about different types of /blog/ games (which are honestly so fucking rare that they hardly count, except stuff like drama CDs).

Would that not also mean cutting CD and light novel discussion if we were to be a strictly VN thread?

The thread is fine as it is.

Sorry, I just wanted to complain about mobage shitters. I don't have a problem with CDs and stuff like this since we're actually talking about the boys, not blogging about ranking and which card we did or did not get.
But are we even talking about LNs? I've never seen one mentioned, except maybe BroCon.

I'm actually still playing Bad Apple Wars. The repetitiveness takes away my motivation to finish it.
At least I only have one route left, maybe I can speed through it in one day.

The latest BL game I've been playing was Taishou Mebiusline because I saw it being discussed here, probably the only BL game in a couple of years I'm interested in finishing. There's Steal, Hanamachi and I don't know if Hanakisou counts but I tried replaying it because of the poll but I didn't feel compelled to play more than 4 endings again.
I try more otome because there's more titles.

>Also define "trying"
Depends on the number of routes, if there's around 5 characters then I try 3. If I find the routes or the characters uninteresting I don't want to finish it. My opinion is not the law, just because someone else is enjoying I'm still not obligated to.

>no one will reply to your post anyway
This.
I always get the feeling that hardly anyone cares for impressions or shit like that since often no one replies.
Though I guess it's hard to get discussions for Vita games.

i'm not involved in this clusterfuck discussion, but can i give suggestions?

Shingakkou
Beniiro Tenjou Ayakashi Kitan
No Thank You
Taisho Mebiusline
Tokyo Onmyouji (vita ver is improved)

is a start and are all decent to great. they're all pretty different from each other so there's shit to choose from.

>Beniiro Tenjou Ayakashi Kitan
That game was really, really weird tho. Or maybe I'm just too white.

The repetitiveness was my biggest complaint, too.
Any favorite boys though? Mine was Satoru, but I think I liked Shikishima's ending best.

i thought it was fine. did you finish it and do you like Japanese culture shit in general?

I didn't finish it. It wasn't bad, MC was a pretty cool charismatic dude, but the whole ayakashi and onmyodo thing I just don't "get" and was kind of weird.
I typically don't go for historical settings so it's probably my fault. Only other game on that list I've played is NTY.

I get where you're coming from on the rank and card posts. I figure that the want equals stories since I have seen a bit of discussion. As for the novels, it was an example of what could be accepted here.

I think we have a unique mix of a thread covering otome and bl properties in many forms.

I like Shikishima the best, both in terms of character and ending. Aruma's ending was also quite nice because he actually aged into Rinka's time period.
Satoru and Shikishima's route were the most fun in general though since they were my first two routes.
I have the white haired prefect left. I'm just hoping that the route will be okay.

>Shingakkou
>Taisho Mebiusline
Aw man. Isn't the terminology kinda hard for these? I remember a few anons talking about it and one even did challenge pics with Shinggakou. They're on my list, but I'd still need to level up my JP studies more.

>Beniiro Tenjou Ayakashi Kitan
I haven't heard of this or LoveDelivery's first work, Tsukigami. I'll be adding this to my list of things to read later once I finish my ye olde otome binge. I feel bad for dropping Sumire no Tsubomi for now, but its path system and absurd amount of endings is awful despite the 3Ps one can obtain.

Think of ayakashi as morally ambiguous demons or spirits. Their personalities and sense of right and wrong vary, in a sense they're a lot like humans.

I guess maybe onmyoudo is harder to get across to Westerners though. It's not necessarily magic in the sense of how that's usually thought of in the West. It's influenced by Shinto and Chinese philosophy. I'm sure you know a bit about yin and yang? If you're interested in understanding, it wouldn't be impossible if you looked into all those areas, including Japanese history. It's also relevant in Mebiusline and Tokyo Onmyouji if you ever pick those up.

>Tsukigami
Anyone played this? I've noticed the company itself likes to pretend it doesn't exist which makes me curious about quality.

I just looked it up, and it sure does look like a masterpiece.

Those broad shoulders, those big manly hands

Do you think the story would be just as awful?

Looks kinda indie.

Gotta start somewhere.

It kind of looks like clusterfuck of ideas they then went on to spread throughout later games I guess when they got their shit together.

There's really nothing to say but "uh"

But it's like says, you gotta start somewhere.

After reading through the story summary, the character introductions, etc, I can safely say that it probably would be just as awful. It looks like 90's cheese but missed the bus by about 10 years. If there was to be a best boy it would probably be the fierce energy that inhabits and gives shape to these boys' shoulders.

They seemed to have gotten their shit down somehow the next year with Beniiro Tenjou Ayakashi Kitan and then finetuned it on Taishou Mebiusline. I wonder how it's going to be with NewWorldOrder?

>NewWorldOrder
The writer is good at flowery historical shit, but it doesn't seem like it it'll fall into that category. Apparently she contributed to a route in Pigeon Blood and that game was a mess. Hopefully it doesn't try to be excessively edgy.

i'll be surprised if it takes the concept to extremes.

it's probably going to have a subdued gothic tone.

Probably this: Another thing she's good at is being depressing and getting the feeling of hopelessness across to the reader.

I wanna see her write an utsuge.

>a route in Pigeon Blood and that game was a mess
Hmm makes me want to play it to see how much messed up it was. Maybe I should play it near halloween for the proper mood.

I just learned that one of the writers did Zettai Kaikyuu. I haven't pursued the remaining true ends with Rei and the other leftover guys (Ichiha and Touya). Maybe I shouldn't have started with Riku and Haru. Am I going to miss out on the overall picture if I just go for Rei and don't do Ichiha and Touya's true ends?

Rei's is probably one of the better ones. Depends on how immersed you are.

>10

Yeah. I just I didn't expect Riku to blindside me when I chose to do his route first. I guess I'll go for Rei and ditch the other guys. After playing both Ichiha and Touya's Rose/Stone routes, their story lacks substance since I was hoping for some rebellion shenanigans with Touya. Ichiha's is frustrating. It makes sense for his character, but it doesn't add much to the story and man, does the reveal loop get tiring fast.

If I could return to the past, I would've done it in this order for the slow unfolding of the story:

Ichiha -> Haru -> Touya -> Riku -> Rei

This art style feels really familiar, but I can't figure out who it is. Does anyone recognize the illustrator?

My first thought was Kazuaki, but that's probably wrong. The colouring is different.

I think it actually is Kazuaki.

I think the coloring just looks weird because it's so close up.

I had considered her too and dismissed the possibility on the basis that the coloring wasn't vibrant enough, but looking at her more recent work on Blackish House, it doesn't need to be that vibrant. Something about the lineart and coloring still seem off to me, though, and she shades noses differently.

Otome game where girl is pregnant and she has to find out who's the father

WE WON BITCHES!!

but what if i don't wanna win bitches

I've been meaning to play Zettai Kaikyuu myself. I tried the demo soon as it came out but since then I just keep being distracted by new games. From the demo Riku was easily my favorite, followed by Haru.

So about six months ago people were wondering what to do with badges and stuff.
