Why must Darkdrift be so shit? Dark Hand as well.

the same way you kill everything else in dark souls 3. Mashing R1 at them

REALISM BROS WW@

I wish the Lucerne had the moveset of the Partizan, it would fix so much.

Cute!

Darkdrift is the fifth best katana in the entire game!

mushrooms are dangerous

What's a good name for a blind Swordsman? All the names I'm thinking of won't fit

type random characters like a blindman would

From the thumbnail I thought this was a picture of fried chicken.

Hollow Ultra Gutsword is literally the highest pure physical damage weapon in-game at 99 all.

At 40/40/30+10 it has 668 AR when two-handed.

ALSO, IS STEAM DOWN?

Here's a fun idea, post your absolute favorite build for PVP and/or PVE in Das3

But Elizabeth didn't have arms

Heard you like having fun, you'll find no such thing here.

Is there a more badly designed enemy in the entire series?

Eh, they're not hard to deal with.

The giant fuckers with tree trunks are way more annoying.

Okay, that sounds good.. maybe a little more difficult. I'll go respec for rapport. Thanks for the heads up.

just blaze them bro, they're really weak to fire

you can use Rapport with Scholar Ring and at least 10 INT

Partizan was my favorite weapon in DaS1 and is my favorite weapon in DaS3

FC WHERE?

No way, Jose. Treehuggers attack extremely slowly, can be kited, and their bullshit homing skull missiles can be gathered and rolled through just by circling around for a bit.

Facehuggers, in the mean time, will happily jump right out of the middle of a combo, or when approached, for a handsome amount of damage if you get hit. But what's aggravating is their constant attempts to grab you, which always have a longer range than appears.

For facehuggers all you have to do is circle around them. Backing up is useless.

Well, I finally got around to beating this game. The fight against Nashandra was a pretty huge letdown, it was pretty easy even if I didn't wear the anti-curse crown, and she felt like a much weaker version of Elana. The only challenge that came of the fight was that I then had to take on Aldia back-to-back, but even he was stupidly easy once I figured out that I just needed to hit him when he's not on fire. Though I suppose I could have made the fight harder overall if I hadn't beat Throne Watcher and Defender prior to Giant Lord, but I was a pussy and didn't want to deal with three bosses in a row.

Overall I felt like this was a pretty fun game, pretty decently polished considering that it builds on fixing all the mistakes they made in the base game. It felt more like a game aimed at mainstream gamers rather than a niche successor to Demon's Souls that has a bunch of quirks that make it good and bad. As good and fun as the original DaS1 was, it had a bunch of dead-end and incomplete shit that detracted from the final product (Raw and Crystal upgrade paths, the entire Lost Izalith section, how stupidly hard it was to get Slabs of any color, etc.). DaS2 felt like it was trying to learn from those mistakes and try its own thing, which resulted in some good things (infusion system, weapon variety, level variety) but also a bunch of bad stuff too (Soul Memory, uninspiring bosses outside of the DLC, how more than half the "lore" was handled), but overall I felt that the gameplay stood out as more refined than DaS1.

Honestly not sure where I would rank DaS2 compared to DaS1, the first one was a really memorable journey despite how bullshit some of the areas were, but the second one had a lot more gameplay variety and was a lot longer as well so there was more to explore. But for the time being I guess it's on to DaS3, where everybody else is, and see for myself just how the series ends.

Yeah, that's the standard tactic, and it does work! But you still have to put up with the frequent jumping, which is a pain in the ass. I for one am glad they're only encountered 3 or 4 times in the game.

Senpai Sama, Weeb Extraordinaire

Chaos Blade, due to the edgy name

Dark Hand, try to finish opponents off with it, as if you just took their soul like Shang Tsung

Hodrick's armor looks so damn based mang.

>makes a VIT build
>slaps on prisoner's chain
idiot

post yours then

What's the best way to beat passive and really reactive players?

Black Crystal

Black Crystal

>vitgouge Iron Flesh

You know I actually miss that from DaS2, it was ridiculous and broken as fuck fastrolling with IF up but there's something unique and pure about having a build that's dedicated to doing one thing despite the huge drawbacks to it.

steel gives you 2% physical protection

2%

two fucking %

hey man, that might be the 2% i need to survive

also, post your build so we can see your genius

Not really sure what to put there instead. If there was another stamina regen ring I'd go for that but I figured prisoners chain probably negates the nerf of damage absorption with a big boost to flat resistance and HP.

I SUPPOSE I could switch it out for the life ring but that feels less memey.

SHIT i forgot
>spells

what spells?

Black Serpent, Profaned Flame, and I switch between Sacred Flame and Carthus Flame Arc

HOW DO I BEAT ARMOR SPIDER

SHE KEEPS KICKING MY ASS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

user, this shitposting wasn't funny to begin with, so please stop

Fun fact: All the worlds in Demon Souls are related to stats.

World of STR = Stonefang Tunnel
World of DEX = Shrine of Storms
World of INT = Towers of Latria
World of FTH = Valley of Defilement

World of Quality = Land of Giants

>all of Demon's Souls worlds
>leaves out Boletaria

And boletaria would be the world of vit

Can graphics mods on das3 get you banned like das2?

if i catch you using one i'll report you cheater

alright lads, rate this SL30 farron character

How much Stamina for SL 120?

Steel protection sucks for pvp.

Vit is mostly useless on a build using no weapons with hyperarmor.

None of this matters though because you're using an estoc so you should just off yourself.

152 is my personal minimum

most people do fine with 130ish though

>K***ht

Holy shit, you don't actually know?

christ you're ignorant, guy

Unless you use ultra weapons you don't need more than 25 END+ RoFaP+2

Wow what an informative post, I think I'll screencap it for future reference, I'm sure all the facts you brought to light will be really useful to me for some builds I'm thinking of trying.

Playing DS3 for the first time. What do I need to know to have a smooth/easy run? I don't particularly like the combat but I do want to explore the world and see the bosses.

Level vitality and and luck. Luck increases your chance at critical hits in combat which can quickly kill opponents, and vitality will make it so enemies do less damage to you. get Vigor to 25, that's high enough and endurance to 30. There you go

what the fuck is that thing

Alright I'm playing das3 for the first time and have run into the trap of not knowing where to go. I haven't done much so far I don't think, I just cleared the catacombs but I need a doll to go into the boreal valley. I remember someone saying something about getting to the cathedral of the deep too but I haven no idea where that is

Why the FUCK do people invade me and I'm unable to attack them?

I fucking am over this bullshit. I'll have some cunt invade me and I literally cannot damage him, yet he can damage me just fine. My hits do not even register on them, like they're a fucking ghost.

Over it.

What's soul level meta for dks1? Currently doing pvp in the forest and absolutely dominating. (Unless I get hornet ring repost 1 shot of course)

Some one mentioned hollow greatsword last thread. What stat spread does it need and is it worth it?

there's a fortress in the crucifixion woods

it's on your left if you're entering from the crucifixion woods bonfire

absorption and vit are much more powerful relative to low level damage output and health pools than at high levels

28 vit alone is equivalent to the base defense of a SL80 or higher. as you may know, base defense reduces damage taken by a static amount, absorption divides the rest of the damage

because low level damage is, well, low (think ~150 with a longsword swing against an npc) the impact of base defense is significantly higher.

If I had 0 base defense and 0 absorption, and something hit me for 300, I would take 300 damage
I I had 150 base defense and 0 absorption, and something hit for 300, I would take 150 damage.
If I had 150 base defense and 50% absorption, something hit me for 300, I would take 75 damage.

My base defense is about 40 points higher than someone normally around the level of that build, so I will always take 40 less damage, before absorption, which is also sigifnicantly higher other than SL30's.

RoSP only adds about 1/4th of its effectiveness in PvP, Lloyd's is about 1/3rd or so. I get an additional ~10% physical absorption at 10 HP, which is nothing to scoff at.

How do I into sliders

I swear it was easier in DS2 and DS1

>One of these things do not belong...

imgur.com/a/HkrMw

>13 very similar looking waifus and one black man

They're pretty much the same thing with different hair and jaw values

The black guy is my main character :^)

FUCK DRAGON GOD

FUCK Just started Journey2 at SL80.
How fucked am i?

Cheers

AYO HOL UP

Not very

AYO FEEEEEEEBLE CURSED ONE*

>For most weapons at 40/40 the Refined infusion makes a difference of 12 or less AR

Is it even going to be worth farming that shit up?

God after switching from pc games to console dark souls 30 fps looks absolutely horrid. Don't feel like dishing out any more money for the game though which sucks since 30 fps is ass

Yes. XD

Just leave it uninfused for those weapons. Doesn't stop me THOUGH

>Gargoyle weapons
>can't be buffed with fire
fuck you

DUDE LMAO SHITTY STEALTH MECHANICS

What starting class for a miracles / healer build? I was thinking cleric but the luck is really high

Unless you want heavy armour, Cleric is the best option for Faith builds

>FTH/Quality
Knight
>FTH/STR
Knight
>FTH/DEX
Knight

Well would you look at that

>mfw people still roll anything but knight for melee builds

warrior better
warrior strong

>Cleric

>Rolled Knight for Faith guy
>Keep thinking what i could've done with all that wasted vit instead

Warrior for melee, Knight for Hybrids

Your character has a horrible lack of jaw and overly pronounced jowls.

Start over.

>Not warrior

>theres a way to farm Seed of Giants
YOU MOTHER FU. WHY DIDNT ANYONE TALK ABOUT THIS BEFORE

Did they changed the way bonfire works?
I used to invade and escort people to the first bonfire in the Carthus Catacomb, now I can't, they can't light it.

you didn't pick best hair though

get invaded kill the guy and get a seed. ain't hard.

probably the lighting

it makes all my characters look like they have three chins most of the time even the males
