Ofcourse its not hard when you have gyroscopes
Anthony Price
You have sensors and rotors in scrap mechanic, You can make a gyro with either spinning wheels, or there is a phantom force glitch.
Jack Sanchez
It LIIIIIIVES.
Sorry, that's some funny shit. If you're still working on a serious walking cycle you may want to consider creating joined feet. It may be even more fucked up complicated, but "toes" might help stabilize it when walking at higher speeds
Cool shit though,
Hudson Myers
>patch combines all resources into one material Whelp, game's dead. Might as well play Robocraft or Gnomoria for more depth.
Liam Evans
Thats the max speed, believe it or not. I am currently trying to figure out a proper walking cycle so i can make pic related. I might try making some toes.

What?
It has something to do with net code. Something about the client and server ascertaining the position of the player.
Single player bogs down when I am spawning 1000+ part ships but everything is fine.
Slightly outdated, haven't integrated the latest changes, yet. I tested it locally, though, and it runs. You must have dev installed for this to work.
Use an installer to comply with Keen's distribution shit, so don't download if you get triggered by executables.
Alexander Hernandez
We navy.
Now I need to make a carrier to carry these shits.

Well I ain't never seen a hexacore i7 machine running the client game and the dedicated server dip below 1.00 simspeed. I guess it'll need more players each rocking a 1000 block ship for that.
Daniel Baker
I don't know if you're new to this or not but it is a well known fact Space Engineers is not coded to utilize multicore CPUs for physics calculations.
Matthew Bailey
I guess you just need 16 gigs of DDR4 then.
Landon Brown
The crap? Dude, go back to /v/.
Grayson Price
Fine, what do I know. Enjoy your 0.33 simspeed you unemployed bum.
Kayden Collins
Simspeed goes to shit after half hour, no matter what.
Carson Long
Since when? Just got off after about an hour and a half and my sim was just fine. It only gets really shit when I fuck around with Blaneds, or have more than one ship running scripts (floorplan scripts, radar scripts, etc) at once.
Anthony Brown
Memory leaks.
Matthew Robinson
I was talking about planets. You can keep the 1.0 for half hour, of if you dont move and sund dosent move, and there is nothing else alive and active arround. If not, it starts to drop after a few minutes.
Nathaniel Howard
There are no leaks, you just need more RAM. A leak is something completely different, and if you have a memory leak it'll take less than 30 minutes for you to notice.
Austin Green
How'd you get the wings on the plane on the right to tilt back like that? Are they on spinners?
Grayson Martin
I have plenty of RAM. SE has two types of memleaks.
One is the quick, 30-minute variety that causes a fairly simple crash.
The second is the more subtle, 4-hour variety that somehow manages to suck up even more RAM. After the game crashes, your PC will thrash for about 5 minutes while it clears the swap of Keen's dick-grease. I suspect that this one is worse because it's in the native C++ extensions, either Havok or VRage.Native, and therefore not subject to managed memory restrictions.
Ian Cook
Alright I'll leave the game running overnight, simple autopilot patrol routine. If it doesn't crash I want your kidneys.
Ryan Phillips
They are. Originally I had them straight but the looked so fucking bad. I have a control block that tilts them back 10 degrees, which also spreads out the wing-mounted missiles a little more.
The fuselage has holes on either side for spars on the wings to go into, so the spinblocks are better protected and it looks like a (mostly) solid piece.
I'm finding more and more I have more fun with FTD when I decide to make things aesthetically pleasing as well as functional.
This includes things that might be less optimal, but are cooler. The plane on the left has a set of retracting landing gear and afterburners set up.
Elijah Jones
>mfw getting flashbacks to leaving multiple clients up overnight in preprogrammed deadheading towards a new globular cluster in Shores of Hazeron
Dylan Nguyen
Alright, enough tweaking for one night; counter clockwise from the bottom:
Knight Class Light Support Cruiser: - 4 hybrid CIWS/AA guns - 2x2 5km range Torpedos - State-of-the-art sensors suite
An unnamed armored motorbike, casually dubbed a "budget kamen-rider prop": - 2 laser guided proximity fuse missiles - 24 m/s overland speed with relatively exceptional rough-terrain handling
I need to figure our a 'Matter of Britain'/Arthurian naming scheme for land vehicles.
I'm already naming naval planes after mythical knight's swords and weapons and heavier warships are going to get all kind of "Sir Gallahad"s and "Sir Percieval"s, and so on.
Next on the agenda is building the "King Arthur" Naval Carrier.

Hydrofoil nerf when? They shouldn't be able to lift heavy ships
Brody Cooper
this looks pretty heavy

user, that's like saying wings shouldn't be able to lift large planes, but now more stupid because water is a more efficient fluid body to lift against than air is.
Lincoln Young
why would you want to nerf it, do you hate fun? those ships also have propellers pushing them up anyway

Looks good. You got anything of it moving?
Colton Long
Apparently, in order to stop people from phasing into things and violently dieing, movement is now kinda server-sided.
Basicially, you move on your end and then tell the server about it, and if the server figures that you moved in impossible ways or moved into a wall due to lag he gets you to a prior position.
Problem is when you fail to properly communicate your movements to the server, by not having enough uplad speed, or by having packet loss or whatever. Then shit just goes full retard. Apparently not all people suffer from it, but it´s still pretty bad.
The fuck is that?
