Personally, I'd make it so the screen sits right on top of the wheel or as close to it as possible, so that you can use a closer to real FOV.
Other than that I like it, jelly of your shifter and pedals.

In addition to being a fantastic, experienced driver Scottie was also unfairly attractive. When he removed his helmet after a race Scottie’s intense green eyes would smolder with the thrill of competition. His short, mahogany hair would gleam.
