If you use nordic ruins you can just use snap to grid. There's a tutorial on using organic kits. Certain kits like green cave have corners that are meant to connect to certain other pieces.

Shitter and noob to modding here. Man, I don't understand Outfit Studio at all. I made a uunp body in Bodyslide, but converting things to it seems like a real hassle. Not to mention having to convert everything I'd want to use.

I saw that you can create conversion references, can you use those to automate/speed up conversions?

If running high resolution textures gives to a performance drop, then downscaling them in TexOpt will naturally help.

For many it's just about saving VRAM though; many textures end up having an alpha layer that doesn't need it, essentially doubling the filesize for no reason.

You don't have to (and in my opinion, shouldn't) choose atronach as a sign.

Generally speaking it's better to run them on specific folders you think may be problematic, rather than the whole darn thing. There's too many variables that TexOpt can't account for to risk doing it in bulk.

Doing a bit more prodding into things, did I make a mistake by trying to fiddle with uunp? It seems like the CBBE bodies have a lot more support, and bodyslide files included with outfits to alter to your custom one.

I'm just so fucking lost. I like being able to make a custom body that I like, but getting outfits to work with it seems to be a nightmarish ordeal.

I've found there's a decent array of UUNP Bodyslide enabled outfits if you know where to look (like this guy: wtfuun.tumblr.com/ )

In both cases (CBBE and UUNP) quality can be questionable though; most people use Outfit Studio to do this and they tend to be a clipping nightmare.

Personally I really only use UUNP to export outfits in existing bodytypes that they haven't been build for yet (like tiwa's minidresses in UNPCM.)
