She was released at the end of the pre-heart-cross meta. She was (and still is) really good, but has been completely overshadowed now.

Oh, that's fine. I happen to have her optimal subs except the duplicate for her so I'll be sticking with her, I don't worry too much about keeping at the top of the power creep.

XM's in a really bad position though compared to other leads. She uses the same mechanic but much worse with limited subs.
Sure she's still strong, but unless you don't have any subs to support Light, Water, or Dark heart cross buying dupes right now is ill advised.

It's the fucking worst when you get an invade on the floor before or after her.

It's relatively small, is pretty much using half of Gremory's top tier subs. You also have A.Vritra and Pandora to choose from. Nobunaga is an option too, but his active can potentially change hearts. That said, with such a small sub pool Gremory is by far the best dark lead right now and imho is on par with Ronove and Kaede.

Plum, Vritra, Akechi, Pandora, etc. YomiDra is not the worst, but Plum's better.

yomidra should only be used as a placeholder for plum on a Gremory team because she won't be getting the full multiplier. She's good on Ana tho.

I know, but a lot of people have a YomiDra or two from the time she was the most popular lead in the game. While many don't have a Plum. That's why I mentioned it.

Even poverty tier with Miru as a leader with the right friend leader is better than non heart cross leaders.
If they do end up releasing a dark version of Miru the cross pairing would be preferred.

Than a Kaede system? Not a chance. Kaede's active is flat out broken for her team.
If you only have one Kaede and a bunch of row subs, maybe.

Vritra is a last string if you have nothing on type. Strong awokens and good to inherit a board (Apoc) or mass dark maker on if you need it.

For Gremory it's basically Akechi, Pandora, Plum. Typhon is also good if you are bringing Akechi or multiple Plums.

If you are desparate, Vritra is a much better stand in on Typhon teams. Especially if you had double Yomidra you are trying to make use of. He brings more offensive awokens than the rest of the team in that case.

Anyone here run Gadius?
He seems strong with the right subs, but his multi is a bit lower than other row leads from other colors.

He's a poorfag's version of Xiang Mei or a sub for her. You probably won't find a lot of friend leads for him.

I run Gadius for multiplayer because he's the only solid shared lead I have with one of my IRL friends. He works up through at least Z8.

You can burst pretty hard and he has access to a lot of good subs like Tomato, Sanada, Urd and the like (in this regard he's a lot more versatile than Xiang Mei is), but he's not really a common lead anymore. Also, the lack of SBR is a bitch sometimes. Off the top of my head only Freyr and Chester have multiple SBRs in red with non-useless actives.

Multiplayer also fixes that, of course.

If you've got dupe Uriels, sure. He's alright for farming descends, fast and easy clears but his damage and survivability is a bit lacking for harder content. So if you're looking for something meta defining, he isn't it.
A big problem he also has is Skill Bind as he doesn't have any SBR himself. Something like Gadius/ Uriel/ Uriel/ Yamato/ Freyr/ Gadius is probably the best general purpose team as Freyr helps cover the SBR.
Pairing with XM is probably an idea as well.
