The fastest a ship can go is about 40 knots, which is something only achieved by certain destroyers. Which is pretty fucking fast for a ship (70-ish km/h).

For cruisers, you're looking at around 35 kntos top speed on average.

For battleships, they rarely ever go past 30 knots. Iowa is the exception, being able to go up to 33 knots.
