If you can deal with swapping distributors and sensors every year go for it.

Have literally never had a problem with the optispark.

Count yourself lucky then. I haven't had to change mine this year yet, we'll see.

Find a better source for the optispark unit or find a way to vent if it's below a '95.

80's CRX-ish style exterior and interior
Handles well
Lighter than alot of modern vehicles
6 speed manual
Decent aftermarket
Supercharger helps flesh out the anemic engine
Has potential to be a solid DD that can be enjoyable if you put cash in it
>Hate
80's horsepower to go along with the 80's look
100lbs of fucking batteries in the back
Still pigfat
Not a CRX
Fucking gear ratio between 1st and 2nd is weird and makes it hard to do a smooth shift every time
Didn't know shit about vehicles when I bought it
Value tanked shortly after purchasing, thankfully bought it used for descent price

Would I recommend it?
>Yes

Pros:
Comfy as fuck interior
Pretty quick off the line with its early torque curve
Feels like your floating
Roomy back seats for fun times
Good speakers

Cons:
Obligatory remarks either calling it a pimp mobile or a POS, people questioning it's highway reliability
No Ac and hot as fuck
No interior lights
15/25 MPG
Turning on fans makes it smell like exhaust so it's windows only

Pretty sweet. Have you had to replace the gas tank?

Looks like Palm Bay...

OVERSTEER

Apparently I was right that it feels slow, its putting 8.9s to do 0-60 when it should be doing 7s or mid 6s, from what I dug up its either a leak in the turbo piping or the stupid CBV going to shit

>would I recommend it?
Only if you don't mind Volvo fuckery and you need a long distance cruiser that looks like a hot hatch

>that way it sits, ordered a leveling kit for it
>already covered in rock chips from my commute to my farm
its preddy gud tho

Check the BOV, sometimes those go bad and your turbo looses a lot of boost. 0-60 in 9 seconds is absurd especially if you have the elevate tune.

I'm the second owner, I'm pretty sure the guy before me just slapped an elevate sticker on it
When I bought I didn't notice it was running slow (previous car was a smart fortwo so anything with over 2L of displacement would feel fast to me at the time)

Volvos don't have BoV, but CBTs, basically more complicated BoVs that don't make the PSSSSS sound when you shift
Hope is just a leak in the piping so I don't have to spend loads of money importing a new CBT

2002 BMW 325i

Pros:
Fast as a Syrian running towards the Ukrainian broader.

Handles like a fly,

Built like a Rolex, AC is freezy pleasy.

Ass Magnet

Gives Stangs and Challangers something to stay awake at night.

Cons:

Burns more oil than Saddam Hussein.

Repairs on par with aircraft repair prices.

Tires last as long as a toddler's fart.

Ricers always no matter what try to challenge me.

Feels comfy man.

>Your Car
2009 Toyota Auris 1.4D
>What you love about it
It's reliable, practical and economical. In the 15 months I'd had it I needed to replace the battery and the front wipers, that's it. Always worked, simply filled it up and off I went. It has four doors, five seats, three of which can be folded down, and one relatively big hatch. It only uses some 6L/100km of diesel, meaning you can go 100 miles on a tenner (Euro).
>What you hate about it
It's utterly, utterly boring and a bit slow. It's so boring that I don't even have enough feelings for it to give it a proper wash, I can only bring myself to hose it down. And the acceleration is eeehh. Passing semis on a country road turns into a challenge, and it's visibly uncomfortable on the Autobahn above 140 kph.
>Would you recommend one?
It's solid, but I got mine for free and wouldn't buy one for the current value of such a model year and mileage. I'm sure you can find equally boring, slow, reliable and practical cars but a few years older for much less money.

I think it had been replace by last owner but havnt had any issues with that in the 2 years I've owned it

Dislikes:
>12mpg city
>very heavy for its size
>bad side visibility you need to rely on your blind spot sensor
>launch control fails 70% of the time-at least with me-
Over all it's a very great muscle/sedan car and yes I would absolutely recommend this car.

95' Mazda MX-3 1.8 V6

>smallest V6 you can imagine
>handles like a champ
>comfy bucket seats
>relatively cheap parts
>rust free (dat galvanized body)

dislikes:
>unfriendly for tall people
>MPG could be better
>leaking sunroof

The engine blew up because of what the previous owner did.

I'm not exactly sure how he managed to blow a 3.8 up, but he hid it well with that honey shit you put in your oil.

>tfw the V8 version of your car gets better MPG than the V6

Why live

Bad:
>punctured rear right tyre
>knackered thermostat, so it's overheating and pissing coolant everywhere out of the overflow (fixing that tomorrow)
>tracking issues
>gearbox is on the way out
>intercooler is corroded
>got two big chips in the windscreen on the driver's side, so replacement is needed before MOT
>CCM is fucked, so the remote and central locking doesn't work and the alarm goes off every time the engine is started
>driver's seat is worn, tips slightly to the left and isn't aligned brilliantly

Good:
>fastest car I've owned so far
>the 1.8T platform is awesome for modifying
>I think it's a beautiful beast, personally
>handles pretty well for a bone stock car and is reasonably comfy to drive
>cheapest car I can insure for its speed (on my first year's no claims)
>sounds pretty nice stock. Low, deep sound. It'll sound incredibly with a catback
>only cost me £1400
