Arts performance is better at increasing damage than just flat ATK up, and I'm pretty sure that Berserkers deal 1.5x damage compared to Sabers dealing 2x to Lancers. Nero Bride just has shitty attack.

Every victory Archer ever had he just did on his own, and Saber at the end of UBW was more "Saber not being shackled by Shirou" than "Saber being boosted by Rin".
