i want this dam ship

Needs HUDless option

what would be cool to see for bigger ships is the ability to go around the cabin or to the back and have some sort of extended storage you can only get to while inside the ship, i mean yea its nice as fuck to transfer items from exosuit to the ship when im a bit away, but I want some sort of mega storage INSIDE the ship of some sort

Bigger ships won't work because the terrain is never flat enough to support one landing, because the planets are microscopic.

That's my least favourite cargo chassis but holy shit those sexy vtol wings

Carriers

daily reminder to get the newest driver if you use amd (16.8.2)

it will improve the overall fps and performance

this fucking planet and its dam copper/gold, took me a while to find some dam heridium

...

I find gold, copper and heridium left and right, but never fucking aluminium.

It worked in Subnautica. But it would mean too much work for the "~13 good men~"

Have larger ships float a small distance above the ground. Problem solved.

But no, you're right, the team will go "Larger ships would require a rewrite of the planet generation systems and as such it isn't a good use of our time or focus" and simply not do it.

Is the fastest way to get to the center with black holes or by warping on my own down the path (please respond)

No

>the terrain is never flat enough to support one landing, because the planets are microscopic
Not really. The terrain is never flat enough because it's procedurally generated and thus basically just static with the lighter bits being elevated. Go fly around a planet and see how small they are. Not even walk, fly.

The real problem is every planet is one or at most two (water and whatever isn't water) biomes with the same conditions vis a vis hazards, sentinels and creatures, so planets might as well just be the area you first land in.

Any thoughts on this Veeky Forums

Is this good or bad for the game?
I'd pay for significant alterations to game play (like base building, etc..)

Is Sean going to go back on this word?
I feel like he said this to avoid any controversy during launch but this will bite him later.

Bored after 5 hours. What do?

Checked the ending and I was disappointed. Not keen on going to the center.

Walking simulator 2016 or what?

Holy shit stop giving me gold/copper planets NMS, I need 800 aluminium you fuck.

I'm ignoring your question just for fun.

I hope others are doing the same.

Natural pure aluminium is exceedingly rare IRL.

The game price already includes a full set of DLC.

If you thought the whole multiplayer drama was bad going back on saying updates would be free is literal career suicide.

Besides the game seems to have sold decently and his team is small, they're probably rolling in dosh now and don't feel the need to get more from paid dlc

Has he done anything but lie? You can fucking look at him and tell he's lying, and he's ALWAYS DOING IT. I didn't even know shit about this game until two days before it came out, but I saw that man and hated him instantly.

>I'd pay for significant alterations to game play (like base building, etc..)

Then you're part of the problem. Especially if we talking about this game.

Keep in your HDD next to the lightweight indie games that you use to kill your free time.

>add features: freighters

Fuck yea, I've always seen those mofos up above a planet, normally after Im done warping to a new planet. WOuld love to have one of those as an escort, or maybe dock my ship in there and move the entire badboy across the galaxy, tearing ass along the way

Aight, this is a cool bug

aluminium is a lot rarer than gold or emiril, strangly

Then what?

It's just a pot to throw your worthless loot into so you can haul it all the way to the nothing.

You realise "Freighters" are just going to be ships with more random slot capacity right?

It's not going to be anything like docking into a larger mothership or AI drone ships.

That's all well and good mate, but when he realizes that he has to pay people to make these updates and when the baseket ofeggs of pre-order money dries up what will he do?

It's weird man, I'd hoenstly rather pay 20$ for a deecent, well produces update than a shit "free" update which you know will be half assed and garabge.

>going back on saying updates would be free is literal career suicide.

100% agree. But, I anticipate it nontheless, I honestly expect hiom to go back on it.

>Has he done anything but lie?
Nope.

Can I disable the "quest" popups. It's telling me to analyse and upload discoveries every other minute, I don't give a fuck about that kind of shit right now.

Because it's rare IRL. It's formed by chemistry, not nucleosynthesis.

SPORE ALERT

I've found a planets that spawns it, but even then it;s not common.

Incidently, are there actually ship types or did they drop that and make them procedural?

I don't know, the game has a docking mechanic, all you'd really need to do is treat it like it treats space stations now but with a "bridge" that lets you access the starmap and hyperspace to other stars. You'd still have to undock in your actual ship to go anywhere in a system.

Basically it'd be a space station you happen to own and can warp around. Sounds achieveable. Pointless maybe, but it's something.

>tfw home galaxy has a moon where there's aluminium fucking everywhere

No. Just do what they tell you and eventually they go away

How much Emeril should you farm before bothering with other stuff if your starting planet has a ton of it. Also is gold worth saving? It doesn't seem to be worth much but people seem to act like it's good here

How many people created Angels Fall First, by the way?

just sell bypass chips for cash

>pirate this game
>it crashes

I don't play indie games. Got bit in the ass by Stranded Deep so I said fuck it. Then comes this faggot Sean with a motherfucking engine showcase and dares to call it a game. Even worse, I found it's unfinished after release. I wonder if these indie developers are even capable of finishing something or they have an aversion to positive media post-release.

I'll just go back to GTAO if this bitch doesn't patch the shit out of his bastard of a game. Rockstar is moneyhungry but they won't fuck me over for 60 dollars like some syphilis whore in Dubai at the very least.

Phenom cpu?

Pirated game and apparently the upload thing ain't either working or some shit because scanning and uploading shit ain't helping it.

There's a genuine reason indie developers are indie and not employees of a larger group.

They have the vision but lack the drive or in some cases lack the ability.

AMD Athlon II X4 645 Processor.

Ebin :^))))

Boltcasters suk.

Aluminum is the most common metal on earth but in its pure elemental state it is virtually nonexistent, it has to be refined from bauxite. Still kind of dumb though, you're right.

Fun fact, "aluminum" is the original standard spelling (coined by a british chemist, no less), "aluminium" is a weird deviation.

There's the rare case where it's actually for a decent reason like artistic integrity, though the only example that springs to mind is yacht club games with shovelknight.

well I was hoping for someone to help me fend off fucking pirates, i can only assume its 3 at a time right now, but later it might be other frigates against me, wanting my carbon

Nah man i can 2 shot sentinels with the scattershot.

>game doesn't even render at native res
>ultra graphics settings don't even make it look any better than a PS2 game
>still runs like trash on high end gaming PCs

fuck Sean Murray, so glad I got a refund for this turd

What rare resources should I be holding on to and which ones should I be selling?

I've gotten a good handle on how much of any given common element I should drag around with me but every now and then I find some rare element or another that I don't see on every planet/most planets. Chrysonite, nickel, iridum, and now Radnox.

I haven't really needed to use any of these yet but at the same time I don't want to just sell a bunch of it and find out that I'll need a shitload of it for important upgrades later.

That's weird, it should run.

>procedurally generated animals

>So random
>Very procedural
>Much variety
>Yet how fucking similar

I'm so glad I didn't waste 60 bucks for screensaver engine 2016.

Copper and Nickel are just a few minutes asteroid hunting away.

Iridium and Aluminum are, from experiences, extremely rare.

Never heard of the others...

Are the mining laser cooling attachments pretty much useless? You only have to pause like 0.3 seconds to reset the heat meter because if you start firing when it's going down it resets to zero

I dunno m8, a lot of indie games are more imaginative and polished than you'd think.

These days self publishing is so easy there's no use for publishers unless you need the backing.

For combat should I be using a boltcaster or can I just safely pump combat beam?

i got a tiny amount of radnox and sold it straight away, whatever its for, its not worth giving up a slot indefinitely

>names a rare element after himself

i know thats how all explorers do things, but after lying so much, it just makes him seem like a narcissist on top of it all

>but when he realizes that he has to pay people to make these updates and when the baseket ofeggs of pre-order money dries up
400k owners on Steam alone, take away Valve/other retailer's cut (supposedly in the ballpark of 30%) there are 16.8 millions USD left (and actually more since in Europe the game is more expensive). Add to that the probably negligible GOG sales and the more likely heavy PS4 copies.
If he dries up that much money he deserves the Tim Schafer of award of can't fucking manage a budget.

>can't find iridium fucking anywhere to make my upgraded FTL thing to go to better star systems
>manage to scrape together enough by salvaging parts from multitools and ships
>hop to higher class star system
>there are giant iridium asteroids among the regular fuel ones everywhere

Oh the ironing

I'm on a planet absolutely covered with it, gravity orbs, giant emeril pillars, ultra heat, even hotter storms, and psychotic sentinels trying to drill multiple new assholes into my body.

How do I got about pirating this game? I want to give it a shot but I sure as fuck am not paying for it as it stand now.

show the progress

Well now what?
Damn shit floated away and trying to call it with the landing pad shit doesn't do anything

Yeah, I tried that as well. Thanks for the reply.

The bad thing is that I have the GOG version, so I'll have to wait for the experimental patch to go through since the pirated one is for the CODEX (I think that's the name of it?) version.

why the fuck it seems the ingame resolution is stuck at 640x480?

Its on rarbg and extratorrentz afaik

yep thats where they spawn, on the annoying planets

people seem to be having this problem a lot, so here is a PSA: there is also iridium in space - found that out yesterday when i was drunk and manually flying from a planet to a space station, firing at nothing in particular

post a webm

The railshot's name is deceptive, it's more like the LAER from New Vegas than a railgun

They make mining/combat with a laser a lot less tedious, and you only need one tier 3 to have basically all the cooling you need. It's in one of my slots.

I really need 20 of it right now, wish I was there!

...

The suit shielding upgrades feel underwhelming. Maybe its because I have a low grade of them still but I put on the radiation shield for a planet cooking in radiation. I was hoping it was just a passive bonus but the way they are isn't exactly very useful. It's just a second shield that I have to put zinc into to recharge just like the regular one, except I can't refill it by seeking shelter, which makes it feel kind of shitty compared to literally the base shield.

load your last save file and hope for the best

i have no screen shot but i got the gold trophies for walking and making money yesterday - 150,000 and 2mil i think

extratorrent.cc/torrent/5107664/No.Mans.Sky.incl.Preorder.DLC-GOG.html

Is this what i am looking for?

Not him, the scatter two shots sentinals for me too. But without a magazine upgrade you only get two shots.

>play it for a bit
>mining simulator with some colors and weird shit that doesn't do anything

Am I missing something here?

Is the game kinda choppy for anyone else? it not terrible but every now and then it lags as if it's loading in assets. I shouldn't be having issues as i've got a pretty new pc with a gtx1080 and a pci ssd so I can only assume it's not optimized very well?

Idk. Probably. I bought the game unfortunately. I might check it out tomorrow after I got my refund.

Wow I'm more hardcore than I thought.

it stutter a bit when starting the game, after that it's pretty fine for me.
What bother me is the in game resolution which seems to be 1024x768 tier and it looks like the same whenever I switch from 640x480 to 1920x1080.

Have you done the config file GSync fix?

should i keep rushing to the center of the universe and find out what's there? I'm surprised no one else is doing this

no, i'll give that a shot

Don't rush. The game is fucked as is, keep that spoiler open as long as you can.

Ok, installed the game, going through the tutorial, some dumb questions

- why do sentinels keep randomly attacking me?
- how do I deal with them?
- does the game really expect me to hold down the A key for 10 minutes to run all the way to the Heridium depot I need to raid to repair my ship? And then spend another 10 minutes running back?

I really want to fucking find out and i have a shitload of antimatter to do it

I'm so sorry.

because you're mining and they're assholes

shoot them until they die, alternatively stop mining when you see them checking you out and the blue eye symbols around your screen

yes but afterwards you'll have a ship for faster exploration

>I really want to fucking find out
It is colors and the game restarts in a new place for you to mine again, I mean explore.

If you can handle the disappointment, go for it. Alternatively: google it

Guys, seriously.
Am I doing something wrong?
It can't be all there is to it.

Last save file had it at the same pad and it starts floating away as I get near it.
At least I have a shitload of inventory space and dosh-making potential I guess

That's why I told folks in the previous thread (or the one before) that it might be more beneficial to get CODEX due to updates. Game files shouldn't be different though.

Have you tried backing up your GOG binaries and your save game (just in case), then using the Experimental Update with CODEX's cracked exe? Might worth a try.

That's it.

It's a qualia experience, not a quality experience.

>No autowalk/run button

If you're a big game, have one. It;s not hard.
