Well, more of my father,

He needs a new car, he's looking for a used SUV/truck. Any suggestions? Money is sorta tight, maybe

You can't even drive in the corvette. ;^)

Better than a sports car that can't stay on track. The Corvette is at least good looking.

that gen of Silverado is garbage, have them come into work for stupid stuff all the time. they rust out, wiper transmission seizes up, transmission issues, you name it

previous gen was way better (1999-2004 or whatever), my 2000 3/4 ton all ive done is replace the thermostat and i bag on the thing. 1500 still rust out but the 2500/3500 dont seem to

Yea, you should at least look good if you're broken down.
retard spotted

1960 called, they want their pushrods and leaf springs back. Skylines have at least been on OHC and independent rear suspension for the last 6 decades

Corvettes have an IRS you fucktard. The Corvette has been IRS since 1963.
And Corvettes had an optional DOHC engine from 1990-1995.

Also, the R35 GTR is unrelated to any Skyline. The Skyline is now what the Infiniti Q50 and Q60 are.

That post wasn't OP, I'm op.

I am from around these here parts, just looking for suggestions.
I know that 3rd gen explorers are plague, so I ruled those out.

look at the sticky.

~$5000 = LT1 C4 Corvette, LS1 4G Camaro
~$10000 = LS1 C5 Corvette

What OP's dad should actually get: Avalanche, Suburban

The engines were built by Mercury Marine for GM. Lotus designed the engine, basing it on the Chevy small block V8.1990-1992, it made 380 HP. 1993-1995, it made 405 HP.

The Corvette also has fuel injection before the Skyline back in 1957.

> basing it on the Chevy small block

originally lotus wanted bigger bores, and chevy went full MUH TREEFIDDY so lotus had to reduce valve area

The unreleased Gen3 version was completed and put on the dyno and had just shy of 600hp.

Perhaps it will make a comeback in some form? Mid engine vette?

Just get an old 90s Suburban.
