Right now you only use JV when you have a DP proc. JV hits harder but when you consider the Holy Power cost it's usally a DPS loss hitting that over Templar's.

Once you get Ashbringer JV kinda goes out the window, because it has a bunch of ways of buffing TV's damage and none of them effect JV at all.

Maybe if you're some nobody trying to jump right in. Either make a guild or join one you intend to raid with and build a repertoire with them over time in normal and mythic raids. If you have a good personal and show competence they'll invite you because this game is easy as fuck and you dont need to minmax setups anymore.

Shaman has been shit for years, especially Ele. It had one brief moment of being decent in MOP and then Blizz reverted the change, making it shit again.

Use it on something that can play all three roles. Something with really diverse specs. Paladin is a good one. Druid or Monk would also be smart.
