Kairi's Grandma stops the tale during the final confrontation with Luxu and says she can't remember the rest and it's past bedtime already anyway.
In truth she is the final guardian of Master Ava's heart and Kairi was made an artificial princess with the knowledge it bestowed upon her to act as a trap for Master Xehanort.
She's getting some of this hot ass even if the whole universe has to burn to make this happen.

There are several ancient people in the KH universe. Rember it encompasses Disney so it has crazy shit like Merlin, Yen Sid, ancient creatures and whatnot.

the spell was to protect kairi, not let her know if she was in trouble. the spell is the reason why kairi ended up on destiny islands. just play the damn game again.

They were probably cheaters since they could simply use the best medals produced by the book of prophecies for themselves. The trash was given to the Moogle for some Lux who sold it to the players.

Another theory is that the foretellers actually don't use the book of prophecies this way, the medals/cards are purely used to enable the player to gather lux, probably to even make them depended on them, that's why whales are the biggest suckers of them all and should meditate on the meaning of guilt.
